    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Just wanted to know what tracking software people use to keep up with their collections, and where I can get it. I've been trying to find stuff on the web, but everything I find ends in a dead link. Help!

I use FreeHerp, but that's the only one I've ever used... granted my collection isn't as large as others, and I am still raising all my babies, so I'm not breeding yet. I'm yet to try other ones... this one seems okay for me for now, but there are a few things about it that I can't do which kind of upsets me. But for just a basic program, it's not bad.

You want something with a ton of features you need to try metzcal. It's the old Herpmaster software with a new company name. In my opinion it has to be the BEST herp software available today. AND, you dont have to pay for it. But, i will also say that i have purchased Damon's Degei software and still use it to this day. It's MUCH simpler and easier to use than Metzcal. So in all actuality i use both programs, so i have 2 data bases with my herp information.

If someone was in the middle of producing a new program, what features would everyone be looking for in the said product?

I just started using eyehit. Looks like it will be fine for my needs. My only complaint is there isn't a real good FAQ section on the web site. At first I kept getting an error message when I tried to enter a new animal. Couldn't find a reason for it on the site. Then suddenly I stopped getting it and it works fine now. I'm not sure I really want to know how much feeding my snakes costs me but I guess I'll find out now.

I have nothing but good things to say about the Degei program. In my experience, if you are having problems go here: http://www.eyehit.com/degei/forum/. I have never had a question go unanswered. I love the program and it has a lot of good features.....
