    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Unfortunately, Thomas, it's illegal to own or possess any native reptiles in Georgia.

Here is the Georgia DNR website that lists all prohibited species. Essentially, all native non-venomous snakes, lizards, and amphibians are protected under state law. A law was just passed protecting native turtles two months ago as well. Venomous reptiles, while not protected in the state because they are considered a nuisance animal, are considered dangerous and prohibited from personal possession or ownership without a permit.

If you notice, even corn snakes and green anoles are illegal to own as pets here. It's a bummer, but if we don't respect the current state laws regarding reptile ownership, state and federal governments will only use our transgressions against us and eventually ban other species as well.

Is that to include Cornsnake morphs that are obvious like albino, snow and bloodreds? I can understand about normal or even okeetees.

Georgia DNR said:
The following list of species native to Georgia may not be held as a pet regardless of its origin or morphology.

I'm guessing from this statement about morphology that all captive bred morphs are also not allowed to be kept here. You never see any corns at reptile shows here, and I know of a couple of pet shops that have been caught selling corns. I don't know what the fines were, but it is enforced.
