In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Good afternoon everyone. I have a simple question I need a little insight on. I was going to make a purchase of an advertised "Mojave Spider" via a local seller that is not 100% sure who produced it, but would just like to double check with some people who are more in the know, to confirm that the snake is indeed a Mojave Spider. I have a few male spiders that have really nice dorsal striping as well with no spotting, so it was throwing me off a bit. Dug around a little online, and it seems like Mojave Spiders normally have spotting on the sides, in most cases anyway, not ALL cases from what i've seen. :shrug01: I only have a small collection of bp's, so i'm still in the learning process here on all the little things that make some morphs stand out more than others. My forte has always been the much larger breeds of python. :ack2: These are the only two pics I have from him, but I can ask for more if you guys need it.

(And there might be a noticeable difference like night and day from a spider and a mojave spider, but I did not want to invest anything in the snake before I was sure. :ack2:)

It would help if you can get 2 or 3 pics in natural light (no flash). A belly shot, as well, may even help.

Better pics with no flash will help a lot more, but I am leaning towards Mojo Spider

Going to see about getting more pics. :yesnod: Is there any definite way to tell a spider and mojave spider apart? They seem very similar depending on the individual. :eek3:

Ill post a comparison shot, but Mojo spiders tend to be lighter and have more yellow in them.

These pics are not mine and came straight from the internet. The one on the left is the mojo spider, and a regular spider on the right.

Regular spider tend to be light brown or golden brown. Both can come with or without spots.

To add to what Jessie has mentioned ...
Another thing, to look for, are flames & blushing. Which is something that a Mojave Spider can have (just one of the reasons for better, no flash, pics).
'Course, some other Spider combos can have them as well. However, it is still something to look for, in a Mojave Spider, along with other traits.

Well it does look like some of the mojo spider pics I seen on WOBP it is not a normal spider because the eyes are dark. My spider's eyes are light and green. I would check world of ball python for some reference points maybe it could help
