    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I want to get the discussion forums really moving. But I guess I need some people to help me out with this by being a regular anchor point for each of the forums. So here's what I would like to do:

I would like to have a volunteer for each of the discussion forums who has a keen interest in that particular topic. I would like this person to be interested enough to start discussions and keep them ongoing, which means taking the time and putting the effort into such an endeavor. In other words, I want them to basically sponsor the forum by being THE main presence there.

In return, I will let them create their own advertising post for their own business/website, which I will stick at the top of the forum and highlight to catch attention.

If more than one person volunteers for any one forum, I will flip a coin to pick one of them to be the sponsoring. Or if I think it warrants it, I may decide to have more than one sponsor for the forum.

I can't be a real sponsor (would rather see a much larger business take advantage of your ad space and the notoriety), plus I don't get a chance to get on-line daily, and I visit your cornsnakes.com site more frequently, but I'll do my best to be a "sponsor's assistant" by visiting whenever I do get a chance and posting whenever I can think of something interesting.
 
That sounds fair enough. But bear in mind that the whole purpose of this offer is to just try to get one or more anchor people in here to help keep (or restart!) the heart beating in these discussion forums. I browse through a lot of them and just see people's questions going unanswered and/or ignored.

Of course, I am guilty as anyone, since you would think I would make more of an effort in this cornsnake forum myself..... Oh well... Guess I can't berate anyone without doing it to myself first.

True, I don't reply to each and every post. Sometimes I just don't have $.02 to put in or a question is about something that I simply am unable to answer. Other times, I prefer to wait for someone else with more experience to reply first. That will sometimes "jump-start" my brain and, if I have something to add, I usually do. But I don't like to just repeat what someone else has said, and probably much better than I could have!
 
Rich, I don't mind being the sponsor here as well as the kingsnakes forum... I don't think I need to the be the supplies/shipping forum sponsor as Alan seems to be doing a better job over there.

Let me know if you want me to sponsor this one... now that I'm on summer vacation (well I will be working summer school, but that's easier) i have plenty of free time.
 
Sure, that is OK with me. I really should spend more time in here myself, but time is in awfully short supply lately. Do the bio thing and I'll set it up. You know the drill by now about what I am hoping to accomplish in these discussion forums.
