    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I just rescued a sulcata tortoise today and I figure id give her a nice luke warm soak and then I noticed she pooed out paste white poop it was all white no other colors is that normal? never had any of my other tortoises do that and it will be a couple weeks before I have funds to take her to vet, just took all my reds in for check up and it wasn't cheap. Any suggestion would help, thanks for looking

Urates.

This is the primary nitrogenous waste product of protein metabolism in tortoises. Make sure to keep her well hydrated and do not over-worry yourself. In and of itself, it is not something to be concerned about. If there are hard stones composed of urates versus a creamy or paste-like material, then it is time for a bit of extra diligence. The creamy and paste-like stuff is not abnormal.

Does not really matter either way with a hint of yellow versus not. You would want to keep an eye out for color variations like green/blue or red (which can sometimes be a dietary matter -such as heavy consumption of dandelion- to no ill effect and can also indicate pathological states -protozoan infection or blood in urine- under some conditions). Also, if something seems odd in the ways I have described, just keep an eye on things for repetitive odd observations (which could be something) and not just a one-off event (which could be nothing) so as not to over-worry yourself needlessly. If you get something especially squirrelly that persists, seek out consultation from a qualified reptile veterinarian (and experienced keepers of tortoises; it is good to cast a wide net as you have done here with this thread) for guidance on how to then proceed.

:)
