    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have been on this site for about a year now & consider it something of "my home". I was recently sent some links to a few other forums by a customer. I took a look, did some reading, made a few posts...and now I know why I like Fauna so much. You've done a great job with this site. It is user-friendly, well put together, and the people here are the best. Add in the benefit of the BOI, and I'm surprised that anyone involved with herps would even consider not being a member. I know that being the "boss" is often a thankless job, especially when you have to make changes or unpopular decisions...but after what I have seen, its time for me to step up to the plate with this long overdue thank you.
 
Well thanks, but honestly I often feel I am just bumbling from one catastrophe to another. If I do something I piss people off, and if I don't do it, then I piss off other people. But it is nice to know that at least a few people appreciate the efforts done to try to keep this ship afloat.
 
There have been a few things happening around here that have definately gotten under my skin as of late. But the site as a whole is still an excellent site and by far the best community to deal with. Whether some of the changes you make piss off people you should still walk away knowing that the site has been no where near a wasted effort. If I felt otherwise I would have left already. So, I too thank you for the work you have done to build this community.
 
I appreciated it before, but wandering through those other forums made me really see how much I like it here. what an eye opener
