    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Greg,when you and I dealt, I told you straight up, because you asked what if it didn't prove out, that I would buy the snake back,then when the outting occurred you e-mailed me and asked if I was sure, once again offered to buy it back, you said no its ok, then you sold it, It didn't prove out, I paid you back and you still got the snake,so you got your money back and a breeding female to boot and when all was said and done, you said we were square, but now your singing a different song,As for me owing a member here money, they will be paid as was agreed, like they were told in our last communication.So if I did anything wrong on that point it was just poor judgement. If and when I sell the boas that money will forwarded to that person, and I will never see a dime of it. So thats all I have or will say on these subjects.
 
None of this is really a surprise to anyone is it?

So you paid $500 for a het albino. You sold that albino for $????. It didn't prove out to the guy you sold it to. Bill paid you the full $500 and you kept the breeding female or the money you sold it for? Not that I will overlook what Bill has done in the past but there is a previous thread where a guy was sold a 100% het that didn't prove out. Some thought it crazy that he should be reimbursed. In this situation if I understand correctly Bill tried to make it right and did what I think would have been fair.

Square? When the whole "het didn't prove thing" I told Bill how much cash I was out because of it. I told/asked Bill that since I was going to be out so much cash from another person I sold the snake too, did he feel responsible for sucking up some of this cost that would have to incrue. Well Bill couldn't make a decision on his own about this so he had to call a few "friends" to see what to do. Well he paid me back the $500 originally spent for the snake and I kept the snake.

The thing that got me on the whole deal is not that Bill didn't want to take responsibilty or partial responsibility for what I am going to have to pay, but rather the "FAKE" genetic paperwork he typed up that came with the snake. He even said he bred the snake before and she threw 2 dead albinos.

So Wes, back to your question of Bill and I being square. If square means Bill basically gave me a normal boa, yes. But that square also means that a normal female boa is costing me a cool $2500. So she wasn't "free" at all, was she?

This whole thread was started by a person who tries to play on people's sympathy strings. Please remember who you are dealing with people.
 
So the way that I see it Lucille and Bill have a bet and Greg and Bill had a bad deal. This thread is about the former and the latter perhaps would be better off discussed on the BOI?

That's a pretty bold statement Bill. I got out of reptiles a while ago. Lasted about 5 years. Thought I'd never return. You know "Ever" last, like, for ever. :)

Bill, just leave. I won't get into the whole debate about the merits of you and/or Lucille. You both have some serious problems that you need to work out. But, as has been stated many times now, Bill you have had multiple going out of business sales. If you are truly sincere then just sell your boa's and walk away. You don't need to grandstand, you don't need to announce it, just quietly walk away into oblivion and lead the simple life your new girl wants to live.

The whole "bet thing", the whole "I at least paid him back" thing is about as mature as the actions that led up to you being in this position to begin with.

Lucille, there is a saying that goes "Pick battles big enough to matter, small enough to win." You need to take a serious look at what battles you choose especially when you have morality skeletons knocking at your own door......

Greg, I wanted the truth and the best way to get there is to ask questions.

I now have my answer. You not only got robbed, you got bent over too. That's a bad thing.

NOW I can say that bill DOES owe you something additional. Until I had that statement in black and white, I couldn't.

I do like to be certain on occasion. This was one of those occasions.

bill, set up a payment plan and do something about the results of your dishonesty.

If you two can't talk nicely, I'll mediate if you both agree to it, but something should be done.

I'm not sure if the wrong that was apparently done to one person is a big enough battle to you; and perhaps one person could not win. That's why we have this board.

Yes Dan, it was.
To answer another question, Bill refunded me the original cost of the boa.
It's just too bad that people choose to conduct business in that manner (selling something knowing it is flat out misrepresented).

I figure the only way Bill could make it "right" would be to set up a payment plan with me that totals somewhere between $1750-$2250. Will it happen? Hell no.
 
Ok bill, the ball is in your court. You seem to want to make things right with everyone and everything you've not done right in the past.

Do you feel the need to make this right in the way Greg has outlined?

You don't need to explain anything on way or the other, especially since greg is not, understandably, making it any easier on you to do what many would consider the right thing, just a simple yes you do or no you don't.

Depending on that answer, the next step can be taken.

The post was made only because a man ( term used loosely ) with no honor posted about the honor of someone else over a pending debt ( the bet ) knowing he himself carried a debt that he was shirking . I tried staying a supporting position of Laura and advise / support as I could since this was between Laura and Bill . Since I was visiting Laura I finally got the details and started putting time lines together and things weren't fitting. Since I was not personally involved it was not my place to give details but I did feel the need to say something.

My dad was military , 2 years Marines , 8 years reg Army and 12 years Special Forces. I was Mech Infantry in the Army for 4 1/2 years and most of our family has been in the military since before the Civil War in some shape or form. We carry the term HONOR very highly and to see someone that is lower than ant poo speak of honor when none is owned by that person , it makes my ass itch. The loan is still between Laura and Bill but I cannot stand by and not say something when a crap bag questions the honor of another knowing he has none , has not earned any nor has the capacity to carry it if it was given.
