    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

How has the impending python ban bill effected your python purchases ? I am not a breeder per say but would like to breed some of my collection and am intrested in investing in some higher end morelias at this time. Yet this proposed ban has me wary to invest in more animals. So how has this proposed effected your spending ?

well, you have two completely different worlds potentially coming together right now. first you have the proposed ban laws, which in most peoples minds is a call to have a mass purchase of snakes (whether its for pets, exhibits, etc). on the other hand, you have the economy which are slowing people down for purchases, particularly of higher end animals. so i think that just wondering how the ban only is affecting sales numbers can be deceiving

i hate it, though i can't disagree too much with as many irresponsible owners as i've met. i do agree somewhat with making sure people know what they're doing, but completely banning species i'm against. i, myself, am stock loading as many animals as i can in case it does get past, grandfathered i hope. but it in no way has effected my purchasing of these animals.

For me, investment purchases are non-existent. Purchases, on the other hand, are not. I don't mind buying the higher end animals because I know that bill or no bill, they will be enjoyed. I would also have to say that as Ryan mentioned, the proposed ban is not the only reason behind my actions.

The H.R. 2811 ban is stupid just like the morons in NY who did it in 2005 (fyi: DEC allows ownership of larger species like the retic and burmese when one is using it for exhibition. Basically the guy told me show it to a school and keep a record and your good. So if you live in NY there is a way around it)

Anyhow just a way of how our corrupt government can dictate to us what we can and cannot do (In other countries this kind of action is called communism. But not in our free land it just called public interest) But I will continue to purchase the ball pythons and other python species and they can kiss my big patriotic rear end.

These little stupid amendments will not effect any of my purchases. This country was founded on freedom and that includes peoples freedom to be idiots and irresponsible. I am sorry anyone who agrees with this ban in anyway, shape or form might as well go signup to be a voluntary resident of Auschwitz. Because in my opinion the day people say it is OK to have our actions dictated to us is the day this country ceases to be a free nation.

2am, 4am, 10am, 4pm <----------times the government will tell you that you can wipe you rear. lol

It hasn't deterred me from buying pythons, if anything it made me more apt to purchase them. I have done my share in trying to stop the ban & tried to help make others aware so they too can do their part. I do plan on breeding my pythons in a few years & am confident that at that point in time the proposed ban will be ancient history....
If not, then I will still have my beloved animals as pets that all of my family adores : D

so much of the "proposed ban" affecting people buying pythons and potentially boas, is that i believe also, its alot of the intent of which one wants to keep them. is it because one wants to purchase any boid, even especially, higher end ones, to keep and display as pets only. or is with the intent to breed and try to sell offspring. it seems to me, that its mostly breeders that are/will be affected by, not only the proposed ban as of now, but also, should the ban pass. and it seems that its the breeders slowing down some on purchases, of these snakes, for the concern and fear that they/we will have these top dollar snakes we paid for and will not be able to even make the money back, nor make money to simply support our hobby (ie, food, new caging if needed, etc)
