I think a few of you may have noticed that I removed the topsites links on this site to the other reptile related topsite websites. The reason I was doing this was because those external links were causing a noticeable lag in page displays here. Even my own FaunaTopSites link is causing some delay, but I think I can fix that be removing all entries where the websites are not displaying the reciprocal banner graphic. That should cut down the number of entries the program has to search through in order to update the hit counter.
In any event, I had expected that the number of new registrations might drop because of the reduced exposure by not being on those other topsite displays. But you could have knocked me over with a feather when I checked and found that the daily registration count has actually INCREASED rather then decreased! I don't think I will ever figure out or understand this stuff.......
