Hello,
I have a less than 1 year old male translucent bearded dragon. I guess he could be considered as a piebald type of morph. He is quite the oddity. He has large patches of normal white skin on the underside of his beard as well as on his belly. (See pics below.) You can see the contrast between the translucent skin and the normal white skin patches. I got this dragon when he was a juvenile from another breeder. He had these patches of normal white skin when I got him. Also some of his side spikes are translucent and some are white. His right eye shows as partially black while his left-eye is black. He is definitely a translucent morph but appears to also be carrying the hypo gene. One of his finger/toe nails is clear (hypo) while the others are not.
He is currently weighing in at 330 grams and is approx. 15 inches in total length. He is definitely ready for the lady dragons as he black beards, headbobs and has actually already mated with one of my females. He definitely has the hormones flowing and can't get enough of the lady dragons.
He does have some issues though:
- He is missing a toenail (not toe, just toenail) on his right back foot.
- He does have a nipped tail (was like this when i got him)
- One of his toenails on left back foot is not perfect.
*****This dragon also acts "clumsy" at times. His reflexes seem to be off/slow at times also. I have noticed issues since I got him as a juvenile. When he was younger, someone that i showed him to, mentioned that they thought the dragon had MBD. I don't know if this is the case though. I dont believe it to be the case now though because he has been kept under UVB light and I dust feeder insects with calcium with D3. I keep the basking side of the tank warm also. I have had hundreds of dragons as I breed them and I have never seen a dragon with this same type of clumsyiness. He doesn't twitch, He gets around his large cage. He eats. He Head bobs, He loves the ladies and shows it. His bones don't feel soft. I have fed him well with hornworms, dubia roaches, superworms. He has grown lots since i got him and he sheds normally. He just seems slow with his reflexes at times and appears to be clumsy at times. As an example when younger he would wrap his 2 arms around your fingers when you would hold him. When he would be put down though he would still have his arms/hands together and would let you put him down with his arms still folded underneath himself.
If you have any additional questions or are interested or want more info, please e-mail me at [email protected]
I am asking $100 (shipping included to lower 48 states) for this dragon.
Thanks
