    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Both my ghost girls just shed and they were looking so pretty I thought I would share.

First up is Fiona (pics 1 & 2). She was my first ghost and the one who made me fall in love with the morph. Unfortunately, she is a mouse eater so she is plugging along slowly.

Next is Amber (pics 3 & 4). When I first got her I wasn't sure what I thought of her as I thought Fiona was much prettier. However, as she grows she is getting nicer and nicer and is giving Fiona a run for her money. I just wish I could wave my magic wand and get them to grow up!!

Thanks Tere and Kelly!! Last year I saw a mediocre ghost which made me think they weren't as nice as pictures portrayed them and I decided not to do them. However, when I saw a picture of Fiona my mind was quickly changed. Now I want to put the hypo gene in everything I have!!

Fiona is a gorgeous girl! Both are nice, but I've liked Fiona a lot, ever since I first saw her pic. Don't fret TOO badly about her being a mouser. Maybe she'll convert one day. Have you tried "scenting" a rat pup/fuzzie with a mouse? Mabye drop in a small ASF AND a rat pup/fuzzie. Sometimes the scent will get her attention. I was SOO happy when I finally got my male hypo mojo to take a couple of rat weans!!!

Good luck with them. I'm looking forward to seeing you work the ghost gene into your other morphs, too!! ;)

I have to agree, Matt, Fiona is a hottie. Amber has really started to show some nice orange which wasn't present a couple of sheds ago. I have tried the "shake & bake" method, putting a rat in a baggie of mouse used shavings, to no avail. I'm hesitant to try ASFs as I don't raise them and I'm worried she won't want anything but them. I'm not in a huge hurry at this point as I have way more mice than I do rats right now. Gives me plenty of time to figure out where I want to go with her.

Ronda,

I have a female lesser that was a mouser. I seriously thought I was gonna have a mouser in my collection and it bummed me a bit, lol. This is what I did. I put a rat hopper (obviously you have to use smaller) in a cage of dirty mice bedding that I kept from changing my mice the prior day. I left the rat in there for 24 hrs and offered it to my lesser. Snatched it up before the rat had time to realized what happened! Its worked since.

The "shake and bake" method I found just doesn't work at all. I hope this helps!! But if it doesn't don't fret, I waited til my girl was able to take hopper rats before I tried to switch her. Btw, every week I offer her an unscented rat and she ignores it. I put that same rat in the cage where I put the dirty mice bedding. Next day she eats it, lol. Now that she's taken scented for over a month I'm trying to figure out a way for her to take unscented, haha!
