In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

There was an UPS rep at Daytona this year and the rumor was that they were considering that allowance of snakes to be shipped. Has anyone got any info on this?

Thanx Scott Sweeney

The only thing I'm surprised about is that it took this long, after FedEx started openly offering a waiver that specifically allowed snakes. If they do it, I'll upgrade my UPS account to include whatever waiver/permit is required...BUT, FedEx is still a whole lot more convenient for me, so they will likely retain the bulk of my business.

HI I use UPS all the time in fact i just shipped out some stuff yesterday and it was there way a head of time. I have shipped snakes With UPS with no problems , i go to the hub were im at and that's were i ship out of. If you go to a UPS store they will not ship it for you there you have to got to the hub. The guys always ask whats going out this time, and they type it in the computer what the package contains and haven't had a problem.

As of right now I believe it is against UPS's terms to ship snakes. The rep made reference to them looking into changing or at least doing it on a trial basis...............

yup, currently very against ups rules to ship snakes.. reptiles yes, snakes no.

I hope they do allow them. would be nice and convenient for me, as a hub is not too far away

UPS

MY labels are live reptiles . The worker asked every time whats in the box and i tell him and he types it in, it shows up on the label whats in the box.

you tell him it is a snake? or you tell him it is a reptile?

If you tell him its a snake, then you lucked out and got a new person, or just a kid who don't care.. reptiles are fine.. snakes are not. they have a book, and every time I ship a reptile, they double check to see if they can.. and each time they say.. up, lizards ok, just not snakes.

UPS

They has never check, on any thing. They have been there 10 years. so im guessing he dosn't care. On my receipt its says description of goods , and it says Snakes right under it. The main guy for the hub has check me in before and asked and everything was fine. Some of the drivers have asked me whats in the box and i tell them an they just go on.

I write live reptiles on the box because that sounds better to people , if i put snakes then know one would pick it up. but it is clearly on the tag snakes as description of goods.

You would think that if it was against the rules that some one at a different hub like Louisville were my stuff goes that some one would catch it and stop it.
