    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I am Dissapointed Sal:

I thought that this sort of thing would end. I still have no judgement on any one. Sal and I had our deal. UPS ruined half of it while Neil Gubitz made good on the other half but still this lingers. I am sorry to all who have been irritated and hope this will end.

In my pet store, I have been talking and many peopel do NOT know about the BOI, some think it has turned into something it was not supposed to be while others do view it.

The word amongst my local and national customers sounds like an earlier thread concerning these people's belief that all "INTERNET" sales should be considered questionable andtherfore ignored.

Vinny, I'm curious if your "national" customers came from the internet? Not attacking or anything I just thought that was an ironic statement as 99% of my national customers are via internet sales.

I do think that Vinny makes a good point though. A couple of bad apples can have a negative impact on all of us that sell online. These people that sell bad animals and take months and months to provide a solution to errors affect each and everyone of our businesses whether we sell a 100 snakes a day or 2 a year. Thanks to the BOI a large number of these types are being rooted out and sent to work at McDonalds. There are issues with the BOI and people that post on it, but overall it is an effective self governing tool that this industry needs. As buyers we need to vote with our pocket books and give support to those vendors that provide quality products, animals and services.
 
BOI Changing

This is what i mean. I write something and maybe their is poor grammar or syntax or spelling and I am attacked while someone who has lost over $1000 is forgotten for a moment while we all play teacher and grade the portions of the threads that we "pick". This is why I rarely come here.

I just want to know what you all know/assume. I honestly don't care if someone can spell, or forgot a date or or can not align their participles. If we stick to just the facts about what has happened this would be a real nice tool for all of us.

To quiet the criticism, I have had customers both online and local that have searched the BOI and have become disgusted in the "bitching" back and forth and the lack of good solid information. They just buy a hedgehog or dog locally and postpone that reptile or arachnid.

Sometimes this site looks like a public venue to blackmail a seller or buyer into doing something that maybe they should not HAVE to do but do anyway so as not to get a bad name on this forum.

What do you all think!!!
 
I don't think anyone was making fun of your spelling or grammar. They were asking for clarification of what you meant because your last post made very little sense. (I'm still not sure what you meant by it)

You seem pretty critical of the BOI considering that it helped you resolve your issue with Sal. Imagine if you had used it as intended and screened Enclosures By Design before making your purchase. You could have avoided that whole fiasco.

See....not such a bad place now, is it?
 
Well Vinnie I don't see anywhere that you were attacked about anything. These people were asking for clarification on what you meant by your post. This site does have some bickering that goes on from time to time but that is life correct? We are all human and we all act that way from time to time. This site is a very valuable tool that works exactly for what it is designed....To let people know who are the scammers and who are the good guys. The only people that feel they are being "blackmailed" as you put it are the bad guys because they are being ousted for being exactly what they are....scammers....thieves....& liars. Pretty much everyone on this site stood up for you in your time of problem with Sal and I believe helped you out (correct me if I am wrong). If it were not for this site you would not have been able to resolve your issue with Sal.

No one was attacking you at all. Don't you see the irony in internet customers/sellers saying that it (the internet) should be ignored as a business venue? It's kind of funny in an off-color sort of way.

Any online forum will have a certain amount of "noise" to it. People that really show their intelligence level (or lack thereof) by posting things (some deemed silly or trivial by others). A person that spends time on the internet looking at any product or service reviews (which is what the BOI is at it's heart) needs to be able to take public postings with a grain of salt and learn to weed through the noise. It's just one of the drawbacks to the medium.
 
Well Sal are you going to admit you have no intention of refunding my money? Or are you as you so eloquently put it chick#$*%#*? I told you was not going to fade away. Sorry you got ripped by Dan but maybe now understand a little bit of how I'm feeling right now. Sucks doesn't it. Hey maybe Dan will send me the money you owe me that way you are partly taken care of and I am taken care of (it's 175). It's amazing, when you think you are right you post like crazy (Dan's thread) but when you know you are being less than fair you just avoid the thread. Just post here you have no intention of refunding me fairly and maybe I'll fade away a little bit.

Like the snakes your phone call never happened ( you posted on another thread you would call tomarrow. I sent you my phone number by email). Not really sure what we have left to discuss. I am under the impression that the last time you said you were going to send the snakes and didn't that you had no intention of taking care of our situation. You then posted to everyone that things were worked out which they were not. I do not want replacement snakes anymore at this time I would just like to be refunded. So you may call if you like but I don't see what the point would be.
