In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have a question for some people that have had or ran into any issues needing vet supplies. I have about 60 carpet pythons and ball pythons and everything has been great so far with no issues or minimal ones at that.

Here is my question

I am wanting to have the necessities of things I need to treat, URI, scale rot, and any other easily fixable issues that could pop up along my way while my collection continues to grow.

What are things that I can get from the agriculture supply store that I can keep to have on hand and not have to rush around if anything ever happens ( hope it does not happen though)

Once you develop a relationship with your vet, and they come to know you're capable, you can typically get injectables from them to have on hand.

For scale issues and boo-boos, my solution of choice is chlorhexidine. It can usually be purchased from the local drugstore. Syringes are always good to have on hand, as are a couple feeding syringes and an SS feeding needle. (Reptile Basics has them.) Sterile saline or lactated ringers are good to have on hand if you're administering nephrotoxic injectables. I mix 50/50 to lessen the burning and chance for skin issues at the injection site. You always hope you never need any of that stuff, but it's very nice to have if you do.

Number one tool to have in your kit is a good veterinarian.

I have a great vet that can provide a lot of things etc. thanks for the help! Ill be picking that stuff up. I have a great vet that can do the major issues I just need some over the counter stuff to have on hand. Thanks a bunch to all
