    =====================

    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
    Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. I apologize if I’m posting in the wrong area. I’m new to this site so please forgive me if this is in the wrong area, and moderates feel free to move if so.

I need a local rodent breeder here in Massachusetts and preferably in or near the Middlesex County area. None of my local pet stores sell live feeder rodents and I would rather purchase and support a local guy. If anyone can point me in the right direction or if you breed rodents or know someone that does please let me know. Most of my collection is on F/T rats but a couple only take live and my long time supplier gave it up. I barely get away with my ball pythons with the wife, but she absolutely refuses to allow me to keep and especially breed mice and rats. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

Again I’m new to the site, this is my first post and figured this would be the best forum to post this as most ball python breeders and sellers also breed their own rodents. I looked into posting under feed at top of page, but it’s just a couple links to businesses selling feeders. If there is another area of this site for listing like this please let me know, and move this if needed.

Not sure how far you are from Joe Consolini from jpc boas. Jpcons. He’s from Connecticut and not far from parts of mass. His rat breeding facility is tops!! Clean clean and well run.
I traveled from the Albany Ny area to buy bulk rats from him. Couple hundred at a time for my boas. You can get live or frozen and in any size possible. He is pretty well known and I’m 100% positive you’d be happy buying from him. He used to give bulk discounts. I’m sure he probably still does.
I also can almost guarantee he has as many as you’ll ever need!!. He might be able to feed all of Pete kahl’s snakes. Lol
I think he has about 100 plus racks with 8 or so tubs per rack.
Just my estimate from going there and seeing this very well kept rat breeding facility. My rats ( frozen ) were always clean, not freezer burnt and old. He sells so many that his stock is always fresh. And a nice guy to boot. Someone I don’t mind saying is a nice guy all around. And he has some fantastic boas. You can look him up on here and give him a shout. He’s also on the web. I think it’s under jpcons. He has a very good rep on here and I’m sure all around. I’ve never heard a bad thing about him!! It’s worth the ride for sure. It took me I believe around 3 hrs. But the cleanliness and price was totally worth the drive. If you expect to see his boa breeding group, more than likely it won’t happen.
The section is under feed, feeders on the list you look at to decide what your looking for.
This ad might stay here, but a mod might relocate it to the feeder section.
Good luck

Rich

Thanks for info Rich! I greatly appreciate it and will look him up. Yeah I wasn’t sure where to post it and was actually expecting this post to move by a moderator. Hopefully it will hang for a little while so I can reach as many people as I could. In the mean time I will research your recommendation and see if that will work for me. Thanks for your time sending a great reply!
