Well folks, in response to call for help and after a good deal of thought I contacted Rich/WebSlave and volunteered to come on board here and host this forum. So........ thought I'd say hi and let you know I'm here and will try to help out in whatever way I can.
I have a special fondness for this site.... one of my basic beliefs in life is to be accountable for ones own actions. The BOI has had some ups and downs, but overall what a great tool for the herp community. I came here at first doing research on chondro purchases, had a really bad deal happen..... the BOI was a significant factor in my being fully reimbursed.
I've kept snakes for perhaps 20 years at different times of my life, several of them rescue. They always took a back seat though to my family, other animals and career, although I was able to make certain my son was able to keep a pet ball python for 9 years while he was growing up. He now keeps an adult 1.1 pair of common red tails (if there is such a thing). In the last couple of years I've been able to fulfill long time dream of owning my "dream" snake. My first chondro was a rescue. I now have quite a few more........ and kept chondros exclusively until...... just 2 days ago!! There's a couple basins trying to look as inconspicuous as possible, they've seen the digs and want to stay! LOL
I've worked professionally with animals for nearly 30 years now in one way or another and it's so nice to come back to my childhood love of snakes as I approach the golden years. Figure I've got at least a good 30-40 good years left in me to play with snakes and figure I ought to come up with something REAL killer by then! Watch out, I'm here to play!
WebSlave is really stepping it up here to try to bring to the herp community what we want and need. I've been leading a fairly sheltered herp life in my chondro specific forums..... kind of fun being out here in the big world with the rest of the herpers.
Thought it would be fun to host a single forum with a lot of people that I already know, and many new people to surely meet..... lol, shouldn't be too hard right?
4.9.6 Chondros
1.1 Basins
...... the end.......
