• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What a crappy day!

Started off with me seeing UPS delivering some packages that looked like they have been through a war. So I ran out there before he could leave in case the contents had been damaged. They were some cheap plastic sawhorses that we needed to hold up lower branches on the citrus trees heavy with fruit, so didn't look like they were damaged. The UPS driver told me that FedEx had left a package down at the gate at the end of the driveway. Sheesh. I have complained to FedEx time and time again about this. So I walked down and got the box. Luckily so, as the skies opened up and it rained like hell. Not sure how well the contents would have fared in the rain, as the contents was insecticide powder.

So meanwhile I was in the den and when I checked messages, I got a notice that Office Depot had delivered the package we were waiting for (expandable cardboard file folders) and left the package in a "safe place". Well it was raining like hell, so I checked the security cameras and that "safe place" was apparently outside of the garage somewhere. There is nowhere outside of the garage where a package would not get wet in the rain, so certainly those folders are all ruined. So after I filed a complaint with FedEx via the Better Business Bureau (this is the ONLY way to get their attention) I then went into a chat with Office Depot about their driver's lamebrained stunt.

Oh yeah, it didn't start as mentioned above. Early we had a delivery from Publix, and that driver had neglected to deliver the ham we had ordered and paid for. But on the plus side, we got a container of coffee. Since neither Connie nor I drink coffee, whoever got the ham instead of the coffee they ordered definitely came out ahead in that trade.

It's no damn wonder I had a heart attack. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if another one is lurking in my future the way things are going. Or at the very least a brain embolism or stroke. What is the technical term for a head actually exploding?
