    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey everyone.

Ive been keeping Geckos for a while now.

Id had a really nice Leopard Gecko who lived to be about 8, and ive still got a nice Golden Gecko who is also now about 8.

Im planning on buying a 3 stack vivarium where I can keep different types of Geckos at the same time.

Im in the process of thinking what Geckos to get though.

My girlfriend really likes snow leopard Geckos so thats probably going to be one of the types.

Just wondered what you might suggest for the other two types?

I do like the Day Geckos, but they sound tricky to look after.
Also like the look of a Tokay Gecko but have heard they are pretty nasty at times?

What do people suggest, bearing in mind ive only had 2 Geckos in the past.

i would look into Crested geckos. they are EASY, colorful, handleable. You can look thru my website at my caresheet and you can see some different morphs in my breeder's page.
 
I agree, crested geckos are easy to handle. easy to care for, and are beautiful. Tokays, although quite striking themselves are not the most suitable for handeling...ie they tend to bite and not let go. Anoher great gecko is the fat tail gecko, I really like these guys, they are built like the leopards,but are not spotted.
 
Both of those suggestions look cool.

I did notice crested Geckos the other day and thought they looked nice.

The fat tailed ones do look nice too.

There are too many Geckos to chose from :confused:

I guess Im better of sticking to ones that are going to be easyish to look after though.

Are the Day Gecko's tricky to look after like I think they are?
 
Not really. Day geckos are not as tolerant to mistakes as Leos, Cresteds, Fattails, and Tokay's, but when set up right they are fairly hardy. They are not very handleable, they like to run and are more stressed by handling, but they make nice additions to a fully planted terrarium.

Maybe Ill get a bit more experience with some other Geckos before I get a Day Gecko then.

its nice to see someone who actually cares about the well being of the animal rather than having something interesting to look at while the animal slowly dies
