    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What is going on here? UPDATE-post shed pics!

Forgive my lousy pics...I borrowed my dad's "real" camera to snap a few pics but I don't have much time to mess with it now...I'm off to the Dr. as soon as I finish typing this. My swimmer's ear has turned into a horrible ear infection.

I think she looks almost like a Killerbee, but the paring was Spider x Pastel. This is the first bee we've hatched here, but she doesn't look like what I was expecting. And of course, I'm sure the weirdness came from mom, and this bee and an odd looking Pastel are girls. Because I really need more holdbacks...yeah right. Here's the funky Pastel, too.

Thanks for looking, I will try and get better pics later...

The first one def looks like a killer bee to me and that is one hot pastel in the second pic! I would also agree they are keepers. Looking good

Well, I wouldn't have a problem with the killerbee idea...except the part about how it takes two pastel parents to make a killerbee.
That said, there's clearly something more going on with those two...so at least one of the parents is likely to be hiding something. I agree that we'd need pics of them to help sort it out. Of course, that could bring you back to taking extra looks at the other babies.

Haha, I don't actually think she's a killerbee...I know how that whole 2 Pastel thing works. I just couldn't think of a better way to describe her. I'm gonna have to get some pics of mom. She's a relatively normal Pastel, but she does have alot of flames. Last year she was bred to our Fire, and we got 3 nice Pastels and one normal. The normal was really light, and had the flames, but I sold her as a pretty normal. The Spider male has bred several seasons for us, without any surprises, so my guess is something going with mom, or an interaction between the two. I don't think its a YB thing....what other morphs are subtle like that? An interesting note, we got mom as part of a collection sale, and I have hatched a few other odd things from others in the group. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy for thinking these two were different...

Mom has been maternally incubating...I went to take a picture of her, but she isn't really a fan of the idea, so I guess I'll do that later. There are 4 more eggs, and I think they are all Spiders from what I can see. Here's an old pic of her clutch from last year, it doesn't do the little normal justice really, but you get the idea. I know I have a better pic somewhere, from when I sold her, so I will have to find it.

That first picture looks like a Chocolate Chip morph that I ran across on the World of Ball Pythons web page. I believe that there is Spider, pastel and Sable in that combination. Take a look for yourself under the Genetic header and see if you agree.

Hi Everyone! I don't get a chance to post here much, but I agree with you Michael K. Losey. I saw the same picture on the NERD website and told Shelly to take a look. They don't give the "combination" on their website though on what the morph consisted of. Thanks! I looked up the picture of a Mudball which is a Pastel Sable. I have often thought these "Lemon Pastels" we got in this collection sale were a bit dull looking for Lemon Pastels. Now I really want to get a better picture of her posted because I think we might be onto something here.

Justin Kobylka talks about the Chocolate Chip as being a Chocolate/Pastel/Spider, but World of Ball Python says Sable/Pastel/Spider. My question would be then, does anyone know how to tell a chocolate from a sable? There is a picture of both a Chocolate/Pastel/Spider and a Sable/Pastel/Spider on World of Ball Python. They do look slightly different.

Post Shed Pics...

They've all shed. We have 0.1 funky Bee, 0.1 funky Pastel, and 2.3 Spiders. Here are a few pics of the Bee.
