    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What tank size?

What size container do you keep you bearded dragon/s in?

right now my little stoner is chilling in a 30 gallon breeder. when he's bigger there is a 55 gallon with his name on.
 
Right now mine are in a variety of tank sizes until my custom enclosures are finshed. At the rate I'm changing my mind on them, it will be sometime in 2010 that I get them. :rolleyes:
 
Ok - I hear (see) you guys talking about 'x gallon breeder', but I have to say that I've never heard that term before so would appreciate it if someone could enlighten me!

My two are in a 4'x2'x2' wooden viv with glass front and 2" ventilation at top back. So what size would that be in gallons? and what do you mean by a 'breeder'?

Don't think that term is used over here!!

What they're talking is actually aquarium sizes, as in the glass tanks fish can be kept in. Don't ask me to figure how many gallons a viv the size of yours would be equal to, lol.

Mine range from babies in a 30L to adults in what I believe is a 175 gallon.

A 40g breeder tank IMO is good for a single full grown dragon, for two or three I would say a 4' x 2' x 2'. Which is close to a 75g. A breeder tank is better than a regular tank for animals that don't climb as much as an aboreal animal, because it utilizes the space for them better. Kind of like you would buy a, lets say 20g High over a 20g long for a crested gecko, compared to a leopard gecko that would use the 20g long. breeder is just another term like high or long.
 
Any healthy adult dragon should be over 18" and many breeder-bought dragons get larger, so why is 40gal breeder the best size? IMHO, it's WAY too small. the smallest i put mine in a 70-75gal. my sheo [20"+] has a 100gal! that's 8 square feet of floor space! bigger is always better!
 
Oh, by all means bigger is always better, I just began building my own tanks lately and I'm planning on goin 5' x 3' x 2' for my beardies, they are just babies now so they all have plenty of room in their tanks at the moment. I was just saying in my opinon if you don't have to much crap in the tank, you can get away with a 40g tank.
 
I have a 40g breeder and I built an enclosure that is 4' x 2' x 2'. But I want to get an enclosure from showcasecages.com. They are nice cages but so expensive. I am going to get one when I can though. My girls are worth it. My husband might shoot me though.lol
