In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I don't know how to do a screen shot so I have posted a link, someone who knows how can do a screen shot can add one I guess.

Someone called Andrew Federico is offering a wild caught Jungle carpet.

Now, unless he has the paper work showing that this is a legally imported snake from Australia (Being that jungle carpets are from Australia) then he is either FULL of it. Or he is in possession of an illegally smuggled animal?

Item Description

JCP black with lemon yellow!!
This is for a Jungle carpet python. He is a 4 year old 5+ feet long male, he was wild caught. He bred a female 2 years ago for me, and went off feed, after trying small live mice which he ate some, we finally got him on F/T chicks. He is thin, now and does not eat like he should. Maybe the right person can nurse him back to good health. The pic I am showing is right now. Note he is thin and in need of care.

I am letting him go for $65.00 including shipping. Please remember you need to nurse him back to great health. Thanks Andrew Federico

I accept money orders or paypal.

The Legal exportation of reptiles from Australia ceased in 1974

He claims it is 4 years old and wild caught, Hmmmmmmmm

Would love to see the documentation for this one!

It's obvious isn't it????

I think the title of the thread should have either 'confused' or 'clueless' attached to it whatever the case may be. If it were indeed a wild caught JCP the price would have a few more zeros behind it considering the 'new blood potential' it would have here in the states. Anyhow I think you could chalk this up as someone who just didn't know the origin of a snake and for best interest to not pass off a wc as cbb he decided to label it as wc, 'clueless' as to the fact that would be extremely unlikely. Probably a bit of best intentions gone wrong, but by no means a scammer.
Just my thoughts.... Mike B.

I apologize for the mis-understanding

I did not realize this would even become an issue. I bought that Jungle 4 years ago, and the guy who sold it to me said it was a wild caught snake. That was really all I knew. I understand now, that it could not have been wild caught and I was told this. I hope this makes sense. Thanks Andrew Federico

That looks like a lovely JCP aside from the fact it is a tad thin.
I'd say Andy isn't scamming, simply passing on the information he recieved.
Him coming here personally to try and clear this up is a bit of a reminder of that too.
I'd say buy him, if you think you can properly care him.
I might guess a URI could be the cause, as JCP's can be sensitive, and if it was eating, and stopped for no reason thats a bit odd...

mis-informed by the original seller....

I seriously doubt there is a conspiracy behind this $65 jcp

:D

Heh, agree'd.
I think, like I already stated, if you can handle a possibly sick snake, buy it.
Be ready to deal with a stubborn feeder.
But, it looks outwardly healthy, maybe not healthy in weight...

I sold him a while back.......

I ended up giving him to a friend as no-one was interested. I think the cheap price made people think it was a trick. I can't blame them, I read about alot of foul-play on these threads. I only was trying to find him a home. I like jungles, but it was the only one I had left and he was not eating....sometimes he would take chicks and sometimes mice, but he was once a good feeder on rats. I am breeding boas now and eventually would like to breed ball pythons. I told everyone interested that, if someone had the time to dedicate to this animal, he could be a strong snake again. He may have needed special meds, I had given flagyl, and it seemed to help. I am glad we have a board like this to protect us. This whole thread was a learning experience for me....and a good one. I hope everyone interested in buying an animal from anyone, will continue to search these boards for info on people. Thanks for all the replies. Andrew Federico

Sounds good.
You did the right thing though, by turning him over. I think we all have seen through this thread, you arent crooked in the least, just interested in the well being of your animals. Thats always a good thing!
