In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Wisconsin Reptile use of others photos as their own

I'm posting to inform the public that Wisconsin Reptiles, in their classified add pasted below, has stollen photographs from www.adcham.com, smugged the name of the photographer off the photo and claimed it as their own. Susan James, the photographer and owner of the animal has confirmed it has been done without permission (email attached below). I don't feel this type of practice should be tolerated.

"Chris, I would appreciate it if you would take care of this for me. I have copied Ed and Lynn and Ping on this so that they know about it. I simply do not have the time to take care of it.
I have no idea who this person is and I certainly never gave him permission to use the photo.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Susan

Susan,
Thanks, I'll look forward to hearing from you soon

take a look at this link: http://market.kingsnake.com/detail.php?cat=52&de=208587
they are using your photo of the dilepis from ADCHAM claiming its the parent of their CB dilepis. they've smugged out your name on the photo. FYI, unless its with your permission, its a federal crime punishable by up to $100,000 per offense. here is a copyright guide for photographers: http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=007J50

Let me know if you'd like my help getting this taken care of. Stuff like that is a violation of kingsnake TOS i believe. Is he using the photo with your permission?

Chris

this guy is trouble

I bought an animal from this guy last year during the fall. I had a few problems getting him to send the animal to me so I filed a complaint against him with paypal. Then, he was very excited to ship the animal. When I recieved the animal it was packed pretty poorly and the live domestic house roaches I found in the box upset me a bit. The problem came during animal inspection....sold as cb but was definately wc with not one but two dry sheds. It was also supposed to be female and after soaking for thirty minutes the shed presented two sperm plugs. The animal was also supposed to be eating f/t but up until a month ago would only except live.

I did not make a fuss about it because I was lucky enough to recieve the animal and I had a lot of things going on with the apartment complex I was living in...well the roof fell it(that is another fun story). However, I would not recommend that anyone buy an animal from this guy...he is very nice on the phone after a complaint has been file against him but I was not pleased with the animal I got. Thanks and take care Michael Hance

Chris,

Thanks for the information. A staff member of ours who has been recently dismissed was in charge of our internet ads. We let him go earlier this week becuase of similar problems.

I'll make sure that the ad is removed immediatly. Please relay my apologies to Ms. James. Let her know that it won't happen again.

Thanks again,

that is the guy

that is him....such a well spoken and charming guy...Don't you think? I would use caution when dealing with him. Take care hope this helps someone. Michael

aaahhh my "GOOD" buddy Ryan.

the last time he got caught on something....
he was mad enough to start a thread about me and another about the boi.

funny thing is he is so unimpoprtant in my life that I forgot what he got caught at the first time.

but I will read up and refresh my memory
becasue
Ryan, you are important to me ;)

What a charming individual. Makes you wonder if he really fired anyone or if the thought of a $100,000 fine prompted the quick removal of the add and photo.
