In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Here's a couple pics of a new male I got. What do you think? YB or no?

I don't see a yellowbelly. If you bought it as one.. thats not good. If you bought it as a normal, it's just a normal, although it is very nice! :)

is that an import or cb animal
thanks tim

I don't have any history on it so I can't say. I did buy it as a YB but after looking at it some more I think I'm going to have to return it. Fortunately I trust the seller and don't anticipate a problem returning it. We'll see though...

To save you all that trouble, maybe you can post better pictures outside. It would help us identify it because the pics we see are a bit dark....

Way to revive a long dead thread! Here's an update. The seller way back then wouldn't take this guy back so it seemed I was stuck with him. I had overpaid for him(even if he was a YB) so there was no getting out from under him. What else could I do? Breed him. So I did. Well, not me personally, I bred him to some normal females. Got a couple clutches in 09. Saved back the females that looked like they could maybe possibly be YB's. Bred them in the fall of 2011 back to their father. No eggs but then again I struck out big time in the 2011/2012 season. I tried "something new" and it was an epic failure ending in only 4 clutches for the year, none of which were from this guy. Here's a pic of 1 of his daughters. Sorry, she's in shed now(this pic is from today). I had her marked as YB but as she got older I crossed it out and marked her as a normal. What do you think?

I would say 75% yes on the original male, and no on the female. Buy a freakin Ivory and breed that male to her:)

Dave

I see YB in the original male. And POSSIBLE YB in the female... Breed 'em together and find out.
We're on the same page there.

Now where's the fun/frustration in that?? :bandhead0

Not seeing yellowbelly
Me neither. As I said, when she was a hatchling, I saw something in her that said YB to me. As she grew, it faded and as I sometimes do, I second guessed myself and crossed out the YB and marked her as a normal. I was going to sell her off but I never got around to it. Then it was breeding season again and I didn't have another female to replace her with, so I bred her to that male.

Indeed...
