• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Gosh, I didn't realize it was so tiring trying to scam people. I have a new-found respect for this individual....NOT. Was it the offer of a bonus that prompted the finding of the CITES permit? Looks almost legit, don't it?

I can't beleive the idiot is still on the hook and thinks he's caught YOU.
Try telling him you paypaled the money to his email address. See what has to say to that. Then tell him it will take a week to get a refund and offer to send him a certified check...............

Edit~
Be sure to transcribe some of the letters in his email address when you tell him what address you sent the $250 and a nice bonus too~ that way if he has a paypal account he can't just check it to see if you really sent a paypal

Ashly Nfar was on temporary work assignment in Cameroon and had to get rid of his Ball Python collection. He turned into Lamfu Patrice who turned into a registered breeder. Have I got that right?

my reply (kudo's to you Cheryl, good suggestion!)

Oh No Mr Patrice, I would never think of doing anything to make a fool of you! I can't tell you how much I appreciate all of the work and trouble you have gone through to make this happen. I have to apologize again though because I took my pain medication (vicoden) for my broken leg and right after that I went to take care of sending you the money, and I just realized that I sent it via PayPal to your email address instead of Western Union......I have to say that these pain killers are really messing up my thought processes. Boy are they strong! I sent it to [email protected], if you have a PayPal account, please see if it is there? If not, then I will try to cancel the PayPal payment and try again to do it right with Western Union.

OMG...he bit! Too bad he doesn't have an account.....

Western Union sometimes uses key questions to identify recipients, so you could next ask them for some kind of personal question that you can include with your "Transfer" that they have to answer in order to pick up their money....

They're really persistant though, aren't they? Gotta give em 10/10 for determination to scam.

Well, this has been fun, but I'm getting bored with him  so I'll be responding to his last email, sent last night.

his email:
WE ARE STILL WAITING ON YOU.HAVE YOU TRANSFER THE MONEY VIA WESTERN UNION MONEY TRANSFER??CAN YOU GET BACK TO ME WITH THE MONEY TRANSFER INFORMATION(MTCN NUMBER) SENDERS NAMES SO THAT I CAN PAY THE SHIPPING.

WAITING

my response:
Hello Mr Patrice,

Unfortunately, Paypal refuses to refund my money until they can investigate the situation, so I have come up with a solution. A couple of years ago I made friends with someone there that I have been in contact with off and on since. He has agreed to pick up the snakes for me and ship them for free. He will be in contact with you tonight I think? His name is Elvis Ngolle Ngolle, have you ever heard of him? He is very interested with these types of snakes and is looking forward to seeing you. I was able to figure out where you are by the IP address your emails were sent from, so I gave that info to him. Sorry for the sudden change of plans, but in the end, the happiness of the animals is the most important thing, don't you agree?

Thanks again for this wonderful opportunity and best of luck.

If you're wondering, Elvis Ngolle Ngolle is the Minister of Forestry and Wildlife in Cameroon, I'm thinking that anyone in the illegal animal trade would know that name.... . I can't wait to see his response to this (if I even get one).

Well played. Absolutely brilliant :bow01: :bow01: :bow01: :bow01: :bow01:

Yeh, remind me if I decide to start a scam, not to send it to you!

I think that now as many of us as have too much keyboard time on our hands should start asking him for animals, as he has been so highly recomended by a friend...

I've just sent this email to see if this guy will still bite.... but I'll be away from my keyboard for the next few weeks on and off, so anyone else who wants to play is welcome... :yesnod:

Subject: Pythons

Hello,

I have been recommended to contact you by a friend who saw that you were offering pythons for export.

I have just moved to Australia and am trying to set up a herpatology society. There are very few pythons available to us here, and we were wondering what types of snakes you have to offer and whether you can handle export of fairly large numbers to Australia to get our club started?

Some of our members have kept snakes in the USA and are quite expert, others are keen beginners, so we are looking for snakes suitable as pets, but also to start a breeding programme.

I look forward to your reply,
Sincerely,

Helen B Back

They ARE keen.....

Within ONE HOUR of sending an enquiry to this guy I got this response...

Hi Ashly,

Thank you for the very fast response.

Can you give me a few more details of the pythons you have available so that we can match them with the best owners? Things we'd like to know are;
Age
Sex
What kind of food are they taking?
Have any of them bred sucessfully?
Are they tame enought for new keepers?
Were they born in captivity or straight from the wild?
Also can you send any pictures for me to show to our club?

Thank you very much,
Helen

Anyone else want to be a member of my "Australian Herpetology Club" and send in some enquiries? :dgrin:
