Heed this warning, if you NEVER buy from only one person let this be the one. Matt Sweeney, PO BOX 5073 Niceville Florida 32578 email addy pitplantation@aol.com, GTMust90@aol.com note: he also raises and sells pitbulls To share the tale I had ordered 2 9ft albino burms from Matt Sweeney of Niceville Florida. Matt received this payment of $360, $60 of which was shipping three weeks ago. both animals together weighed less than 50lbs making it more than feasible to ship via UPS, Airborne express, Delta dash or us mail overnight. Matt for whatever reason did not send the animals the week he recieved payment as he had personal things to tend to. after several emails two weeks ago last monday he finally said they were to be shipped overnight on Tuesday. later tuesday evening he emailed me stating he'd sent them us mail 4-6 day delivery as the post master wouldn't allow overnight. when showing my concern to Matt about the long transit he replied with "you'll get them when they get there". after stating to Matt he had been sent the agreed shipping amount which would allow overnight shipping of several forms he replies with "i shipped them the way i could afford to". seeing as he had over a week to ship, and had the money id sent one can only deduct he blew the cash and took a shortcut. if it were a simple mistake in shipping the long time and he was understanding of his ignorance and tried to rectify it we would simply try to stop transport. but his attitude throughout this error was one of screw it, if they die ill send your money back. that to me is very poor ethics when it comes to dealing with living things. if there was a problem with not being able to ship the animals for $60 he could have requested more from our buyer in one of the half dozen emails id received and i could have had it sent to him within the week it took to ship them anyhow. forgive me for my babbling but i can not justify this persons actions in any way. all shipping and email problems aside the bottom line is a very clear one, common sense and compassion tells one not to seal a living creature in a box for six days without the necessities in which to live. i have full confidence these animals will arrive in a urine soaked, urate filled container, possibly fecal remains and regurge as well, dehydrated and suffering from the onset of respiratory IF they are even lucky enough to survive this hellish trip. If you have any further questions or suggestions please feel free to contact me. other than the obvious nature of this problem Briarpatch Herps has also suffered, we had a contract with the theme park to use the animals they purchased in an upcoming event. we have since lost this account because of the 4 weeks this has been going on.
