Has anyone ever dealt with this person? We agreed that i would send her a money order for some amazon tree boas she has (4.4 with all females gravid)and as soon as i sent her the confirmation number she would also ship her boas to me. (same day) This was at about 1:30pm and here it is 7:20pm and still no word. I have e-mailed her stating that if i didn't recieve a tracking number tonight i was going to cancel the money arder at MIDNIGHT....still no response.... I just want to know if anyone else has dealt with her and what happened. any help is greatly appreciated. |

I may not be the MOST respected person here but i have never and will never try to screw someone out of their hard earned money. And i just can't see the reasoning behind a person who would do so. I am in the process of planning a trip to Fort Worth next week and would like to know who it is that i am going to visit. I take matters like this very seriously. Things like this is what ruins it for the rest of us that truely LOVE this hobby. Does this person really think that we are just STUPID or something? It is times like these that make me appreciate all the good,honest people that contribute to this hobby and make it worth doing. Someone please tell me who this person really is. I know that someone knows, If you know who this person is and you are keeping quiet to defend him/her then you are just as low in my book. |

Now she is saying i don't know what i am talking about and that the snakes are at Airborne Express waiting until she calls them to give the ok to ship.( I don't think it works like that)they either ship it or they don't they don't baby sit packages...at least not to my knowlege. I told her i had cancelled the money order(I haven't i am giving her until 10am tomorrow. Maybe i completely wrong about her but my gut tells me otherwise. But if i AM wrong about her, then i apologize in advance.....we'll see i guess. |

The animals he/she advertises are some of the same that Daniel used to keep (Phelsuma standingi, ball pythons, leopard geckos, tree boas etc). C.)Someone called the Fort Worth Zoo Herp. Dept. (where my husband works) not too long ago and was trying "get rid" of some Amazon Tree Boas, when this person was asked where they got the boas they said "from Daniel Strong". D.) Daniel was always using fake names, both male and female, and always used hotmail type email accounts. I had already emailed this same person, orchid449@hotmail.com last night before the inquiry on this board was even made. I asked about his animals and guess what? He didn't reply to my email, LOL, guess he didn't like my name. |

I found her phone number online and called her up a few minutes ago, her boyfriend mike is using her name and address i am guessing he wants to be anonymous. someone please tell me what i can do here, i want to give them the opportunity to make this right but i feel like time is slipping away. she promised they would ship them today but i really doubt that. So i can't cancel the money order and i can't get the snakes...what CAN I get? or do? |

5804.html Posted At 14:56:57 07/14/2001 Their is nothing you can do about a money order. Its payment in lieu of cash. But you should have checked into this prior to sending any monies out. Unless she ships, you have lost your money. Your only recourse is bringing it to the Postmasters attenion and possibly filing some kind of a complaint. If on the other hand you can prove that the name is ficticious, than that would be a different story and I would certainly attempt to notify the Police in that area to see if others have been taken as well. |

5808.html Posted At 20:39:08 07/14/2001 Her telephone is in a "Ruth K. Perry's" name. Although i didn't deal with a Ruth or a Mike(her "boyfriend's" name) I dealt with Sara. Although everytime I have called and talked to her she blamed everything on her boyfiend (Mike) but didn't seem to give a damn. This "Mike" just never hapens to be home when i call. Hmm.....My attorney has informed me that if she does not RETURN my money order unopened that it constitutes Fraud and Theft. And since it is through the the mail and across the state lines that is a Federal Crime.I have contacted The Fort Worth FBI office and they seem to already be investigating this person. They informed me that they would notify me if she attempted to cash the Money Order. Thats where he says the FBI will make an arrest and return my money order. So one way or the other I will get my money order. I really appreciate all the help from you guys. I am also trying to Stop Delivery on this mail item but that is an uphill battle with some very ignorant people who really could care less. If i can't have it stopped then i suppose it's up to her to think this through and just RETURN TO SENDER so we can forget about this whole incident. I also know that this persons name is Sara Perry because thats the name I made the money order out to, Address and all. I also Filled out the "FOR" section of the Money Order and wrote "8 Adult Amazon Tree Boas 4.4". I really hope that all of this was worth 165.00 for Sara Perry. ( AKA Mike Long) and probably many other aliases. So everyone WATCH OUT for this person. She is bad business, blaming everything on an imaginary boyfriend. She claims she doesn't know what I am talking about, and that my beef is with "Mike" but she had me make the money order out in HER NAME."Sara Perry" I am satisfied if she goes to jail, fed time is slow time, i hear. :) thanks all for your support and advice. |
