I have heard a couple good things about Ryan Spahr here so I decided to buy the Helix DBS1001 from him that he has advertised on Kingsnake Supply Classifieds. So we talked over Email tofind out exactly what I'm getting. So, I send him the Paypal. Ever since then...he hasn't contacted me back!!! I have Emailed him several times and no response. He must have time to respond because he sure had enough time to accept my Paypal. For all of you that use Paypal, you know that the person your sending the payment to has to accept it first! Still, I haven't got any contact from the guy at all. I just wanted to know when he's going to ship it. I am getting very impatient. Does anyone know what the deal is? |

I think it is very rude and inconsiderate to one's customer to not confirm payment immediately and at least talk about a proposed shipping date immediately after payment is recieved. How hard is it to email a few words back to someone? I always try and get their phone number and call them if theres no email responce. How long has it been? Have you tried a phone call?? Like John says, it's very inconsiderate not to comfirm payment. If he had enough time to log on the net and except the Paypal, then he had enough time to email me and let me know what's up....even if it was just "Hey Mike, I got the money.". I guess I just have to high of expectations of how people do business. I customers how I like to be treated, fast, curtious, prompt service. I'm not saying Ryan is a bad guy and that I'll never do business again with him, I'm just sayin' that I need some more communication. Mike |

7002.html Posted At 16:14:22 08/08/2001 Not too long ago we did a trade with Ryan and didn't have any problems what so ever. He shipped when he said he did and the snake arrived here perfectly and we are very happy with her. In fact he is still waiting on his snakes from us because of the temps here right now (way too hot to ship anything alive) I would try emailing him once more, maybe he is out of town or had something go wrong. We just emailed him on Monday ourselves concerning the animals we are shippnig him and he hasn't responded back yet either. Usually he is pretty prompt about returning emails. 7006.html Posted At 18:01:18 08/08/2001 The only reason the person your sending a Paypal payment to would have to confirm the Payment is: They are not a Paypal member yet. You used an e-mail address to send the payment to that the person did not have registered with Paypal. Or you yourself does not have a verified address listed with Paypal. I use it on almost a daily basis to send and receive payments and these have been my experiences. Other then these reasons there may be a preference that the seller can turn on that would indicate acceptance of all payments but I'm not familiar with it. If the payment is still unaccepted I would double check the e-mail address for the seller and then go in and cancel the payment and resend it if an error was made or just canel it completely and make other arrangements with the seller. |

Even if this guy went on vacation or whatever, he stiil had the time to contact me if he had time to accept the money. |

7030.html Posted At 23:10:10 08/08/2001 Mike...I think you're mistaken....Assuming that BOTH parties are Verified...when ou send money through PayPal, the sender automatically has it taken out of his account, and the receiver has it automatically put into their PAYPAL ACCOUNT! To transfer the money from the PayPal account to your OWN account requires you to go into the "Withdraw Funds" section and TELL PAYPAL where you want the money to go (into what account). If he IS on vacation, or had an accident, or whatever LIGITIMATE reason he might have....he MIGHT NOT actually KNOW THE MONEY'S THERE YET! If he hasn't checked his computer in a while, HE WOULDN'T KNOW IT because he won't see PayPal's e-mail they send when someone sends money to someone else! I can appreciate your dilemma, though....I'd be going a little nuts now myself! Just for the fact that he HASN'T checked his computer when he KNEW there was a transaction pending! That's BAD BUSINESS no matter HOW you look at it! Neil |

7114.html Posted At 22:38:18 08/10/2001 We had a deal with Ryan a while back, i paypaled all i had in the account to him, and he sent me 28 baby balls (6 more than expected), then after i sent the remaining due, he would send his amazon tree boa. well he was hard to reach for a while, but emailed me one day saying he was out of town, he may travel a lot, so we waited, and eventually i got the snake in perfect condition. We waited....and waited.....and waited....and started calling him instead of emailing him since we got absolutely no response. Our emails and messages were professional, courteous, and showed nothing more than a little concern. After 2 weeks he emailed us back and said the snakes were on their way. We waited... and waited...we were really worried and then the ball pythons just showed up! We ordered 4 and he sent us 5...we were very pleased with them and they are beautiful captives. We emailed him to let him know that they arrived safely but he never replied back. It was kind of an "odd" experience, on the one hand I'm thinking, "WHAT A FLAKE!", but since we got the pythons in good health, I'm happy. I guess some folks are too keen on communication. |
