A word of caution to all breeders/dealers. Do ship any animals to Jessica Nau (probably an alias) at the following address:

4957 CR91 SW Lot #12
Alexandria, Mn 56308
320-886-9420
blueeyedsiberian@aol.com

This person "purchased" two boas from me on 7/21/01. She payed via Paypal. At the time I questioned the different name on the Paypal account (Sue Lofton) but was told that they had several family members with PayPal accounts all using the same computer. My bad here

I shipped the animals on 7/23/01. Arrival was confirmed by the recipient on 7/24/01. On 7/25/01 I was contacted by Paypal stating that this was possibly a fraudulent transaction and that they were investigating. I was immediately contacted by Jessica Nau, who stated, that they were unaware that they could not have multiple accounts with Paypal and that she would send out a money order in it's place. Of course this has never happened. The telephone number that I had was soon disconnected.

After numerous unanswered e-mails (finally with the threat of prosecution) I received a telephone call on August 24th, stating the money order had been mailed the previous day. She also asked that I sell her another boa - (Balls huh!) Anyway, it has now been another 10 days and guess what - no money order. Also the new telephone number that I have is disconnected as well.

My intent is as follows:

1. Warn fellow breeders/dealers about this dishonest person.
2. File a report with the Internet Fraud Complaint Center.
3. Explore possible avenue for prosecution.
4. Make Jessica Nau my new Internet playtoy at every opportunity.

Any suggestions that any of you may have to assist me in bringing this person to justice - (hopefully to jail) would be greatly appreciated.

By the way, Paypal has been completely useless in trying to assist me in this. Although I provided them with every bit of information and every e-mail communication for their investigation. They refuse to supply me with any information, stating that it would violate their privacy rules.

I would check with her internet provider, since they are on AOL when they set up the account they are required to give a valid home address and for payment they are required to give a valid credit card or checking account number. So I would talk to them, maybe they can give you some information that could help you. Also I know if they were using an AOL account for fraudlent purposes AOL will investigate them and terminate their account as well. So I would dig up their 800 # and ask to speak to their security department. Hope this helps

Sorry Mike! I know how frustrating that can be. I was a Deputy Sheriff for 2 years and got so frustrated at the system that I got out of the business. I hope everything goes well with you and hope she ends up paying big time. Keep us posted!
