Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

wish it would display the temperature.

it works great for its price range. it's definitely not a 200 dollar thermostat, but will work. Just wish it would display the current temperature. This means you will need a good thermometer with it also. Mine has worked with no problems and i have been happy with it.

Good little thermostat, i have two running and i havent had any issues with them. For the price range on these guys, you cant beat it. Of course, a pricier T-stat is going to have more bells and whistles, but if you want to use these for a simple setup, or for a small collection in a rack, this will get the job done.

I use mine now to heat the pad for roach colony only. The temps will vary -+5 degrees. Would not recommend for incubators or racks.

Zoo Med is typically a trustworthy brand. So far this company hasn't really let me down by any stretch. What I liked most about this gadget was just how simply and efficient it is. Once I adjusted my temperature at 90 degrees, it wouldn't allow fluctuation or anything like that (sparring 1 degree). So generally, it won't fail you and comes at an awesome price as well. Its adhesive is also very useful, sticks to the terrarium really well so you don't have to worry about it falling off or anything, yet can be removed if you wish.
The probe is unobtrusive and simply slides into the terrarium, stays on the warm end and keeps things smooth. It is long enough as well.
The only thing 'wrong' with this thermostat is the fact that it isn't digital, which is kind of silly and might take a while to adjust (around 30 minutes) and make sure you've got it at the right temperature. You need a thermometer with this thing, or else you could end up making it too hot or too cool for your animal.
