Well to get this going Joe was talking to me on AIM back on the 7th of this month or so . He mentioned he was selling his collection and was getting out of Boas. He couldnt sell on KS as he was banned for other things there ( speaking his mind ) so i offered to post the snakes shown on this linkhttp://junglehabitatsplastics.com/webstore/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=54 Joe explained that if i sold all three of these listed snakes he would send me $1300 for getting them sold. I posted them on Thursday evening and Friday at noon I had a buyer for the snakes. I sent Joe buyers info and they were actually 20 mins away or so in Michigan. They met a week later and the buyer got all three snakes So at this point Joe was suppose to pay me $1300.00 as per his promise. Joe's last contact was with me on The monday after they met to let me know the "check was in the mail" and thanki8ng me for selling them so fast and wanted me to post his motleys when they are born this fall.

Well thats where it fell off Joe sent no check as he agreed to do as per his last email

well to make things worse Joes husbandry skill are lacking as he assured me all snakes were 100% healthy. When the buyer got the snakes and I spoke to the buyer before he bought a stack of cages from me he told me of the snakes being mite infested and that he was dissapointed to say the least . He did have one contact with Joe but after several days of trying ( this was AFTER i called him many times and left many em ails in regards to the check he never sent out .

Joe Lydon will be having baby Motleys this yr and more then likely they will also be covered with mites , if his husbandry lets a albino jungle , triple het female and baby jungle get covered in mites then the motley male and the mother of that litter also will be mite infested unless he cleans up his act soon .
I had thought of Joe as a friend but well now we see where that we i dont expect him to make right on his promises and agreement

First of all I think it is ironic someone with some very unhappy customers is on here warning others & this thread you started is right above your own bad guy thread. I have dealt with Joe & spent big $$$$ with him & had nothing but great animals & not one MITE. He sent me out big dollar animals open account. It's easy to say someone has mites as to stop other buyers but how about some proof. When you get your money are you going to pay back people you took money from & didn't provide a product or made them wait an very long time?

If My customer would allow me to post his name he can VERIFY mites were sent to him on the snakes . First off Joe has been a good friend of mine for some time ( online ) but he sent the guy mites NOT me , I sold $10k of his snakes in 24 he couldnt sell them in 4 months ??? nuff said Joe could make his end right if he would have answered a phoner ( 5-6 calls made and messages left) aswell as many emails were sent . After he sold his animals he went AWOL . Im not trying to divert anything i handled and Am handling my customers so you need not worry about that aspect they get what they ordered . Joe may have sent you open account but her burned me of $1300 for selling off his stock he didnt want . There is someone who if they so wish can tell you that joe was suppose to send me money ( if joe told him and amount im not sure ) but ill leave that to him if he so chooses to post here as he is a friend of Joes. Also this post was made about a week ago on TRR so im NOT just bringing this up i just broght this here as i have been gone a week!!!

Alan, does that $1300.00 include interest? To the best of my knowledge, 10% of $8300.00 is $830.00... Almost doubling the amount I "owe" you to make it sound worse? Yes, you and I have been acquaintances for quite a while now.. I got to chatting about selling my animals with you in IM... I offered you 10% commission to sell them on your site because I have not had time to post ads and respond to inquiries in the last few months due to private issues. Well, luck has it (or the ridiculously good deal I was selling them at), a buyer contacted you to make the sale.. The transaction went smooth as can be, the buyer was a delight and the animals were inspected and accepted.. It's been 2 weeks since the deal.. I have the money I owe you right now but can't give it to you just yet.. I have never screwed anyone over and never will.. I'm sorry that you spent money you didn't have and you are in a tight spot and in need of the commission payment.. I ordered cages from you a couple years back, they arrived with smashed corners, leaky seams and misc cracks here and there.. I told you right away and you wanted me to ship them back.. FedEx was NOT going to cover the charges, so I told you not to worry about it and I would make due.. You offered to send me a free cage for my troubles, you never sent it and I never asked... $hit happens and I know times can be rough, so i forgot about it. As for the mites that Richard recieved with his snakes, that is TRUE.... He emailed about it and I immediately responded, explaining why and asked if there was anything he wanted me to do about it.. That was the end of that situation.. I haven't even entirely read the current threads about you on here but it looks like these people have waited a LOT longer than 2 weeks for their part of the deal. You'll get your money, I promise a lot sooner than it will take or took your customers to get theirs.

Mite explanation for inquiring minds...

As most know, I've had huge problems with frozen thawed rodents in the past.. Long story short, I don't buy them and I buy locally from a petstore near my house.. From time to time, I would get a few crawlers on my animals.. Luckily, I preventatively treat with POV on a constant basis and once a month with Ivermectin spray which prevents any outbreaks.. The 2 small snakes that recently sold were mite free, the large 18lb female had VERY few on her.. I know it's a risk buying from a petstore but I've taken every measure in the past to prevent cross contamination.. It's better than snakes dying, shedding their color off and regurgitating regularly..

I've got 1, maybe 2 litters cooking as we speak and I will no longer be continueing with snakes.. I'm not cut out for the sales end of it and my time has become much more limited in comparison to the past few years.

I just emailed Alan to notify him of my response... This is what I got..

Astothe cages yes i told you to pack them back and id fix them YOU would have not had to pay for shipping back fedex would have got them back for FREE they broke them NOT me i told you id fix them. The coatimundi was in consideration before any snakes were sold on your site and we decided not to purchase one. I never offered you a flat rate of $1300.00, I have no idea where you are pulling that from. I offered you a 10% commission. $700.00 was for the pair that was initially sold.. The other $170 was for the 3rd snake that I ended up selling for $1300.00, hence the price drop to $130.00. I already knew how you would react if I answered the phone, you are completely business driven and for that, I had a feeling you "might" bring it to the BOI.. There is no question that you will get your money but more a question when I can get it to you.. As for the cages, you said that because I didn't inspect them while FedEx was there, they wouldn't cover the charges.. You said to send back the damaged cages (which I still have pictures of) and you would send me new ones... To absorb an inconvenience on your part, I told you not to worry about it and never asked for a compensation. YOU offered to send me a cage free of charge.. It never showed.. I never asked for it, end of story.. Kinda like the check that never arrived but you already knew that, right?

Joe if you woulda answered the phone when i called that friday it would have been resolved very easy i would have not blown up on the phone i dont do that i would have been fine with you telling me it is going to be a while but i told you that i was going to use that payment to do a fast build for the show in raleigh that was being done last minute did i not ? if you were not going to send the check you could have told me that very easily i would have not been mad i would have not planned to do the show but instead i had to go with three cages because had i not gone i would have not been allowed back next time nor would i have gotten a refund THATS why i kept calling and emailing you. not cause i was bugging you cause i wanted a answer that was all . I'm sure if you would have said that in the beginning, instead of saying you're going to send a check and then not following through, this thread would have never been here. alan takes money from Steve to build cages in a certain time frame. alan does not do this but DOES plan an making himself (alan) some cages to do a show BEFORE Steve has his cages.

joe tells alan that if he sells snakes for joe, alan will recieve 10% of the sale price, but neglects to say WHEN that 10% would be paid. alan pre-spent the money he was supposed to get from joe NOT to get things right with Steve, the guy who had at this point been waiting MONTHS for his cage, but to make cages so alan could do a show for HIMSELF.

joe decides that he's pissed at alan for calling and emailing him about the money that joe admits he owes to alan so he ignores alan, who then blames joe for Steve NOT getting his cage.

There is no degree to being one of the bad guys, IMHO.
You are or you are not.
You make a deal you follow through right away, not weeks later, the day the other person does their part. Personal problems are just that, personal, not something someone else has to endure with you just because you say so.
I feel you have demonstrated your true ethics here and made a mockery of the Fauna Good Guy Certification displayed on your site.
As for your robbing Peter to pay Paul, it is up to Alan to reimburse Steve and if you do as you suggest you are the “fairytale court system”, Judge Jury and Executioner.
Just pay Alan what you owe and quit pretending your taking some kind of noble action by stealing from someone who tried to help you unless they asked you to take that action.
