Pink Lady Exotics
"Queen Quarantine"
I just wanted to post a HUGE thank you to Al (realvenum) and also to the amazingly generous (and still anonymous) Fauna member that put the down payment on my snake. If it weren't for my anonymous helper, I would not have my new best friend. You are an amazing person for taking a risk on me. Thank you so much. And Al, you're an amazing person and the love you have for this species is outstanding. You helped me so much in so many ways, and I will refer you to everyone I come across. Thank you.
Al brought Spoon (that's what I named him) down here last night and I am in love! He's absolutely the most beautiful BP I've seen, he's stunning. The stripe down his back is a gorgeous gold, and the jet black on either side has a blue iredescent sheen. His pattern starts out olive at the very top of the patches but then becomes a rich chocolate brown. His lower sides are a lovely pastel yellow and his tummy is bright white. In case you can't tell, I've spent a few hours staring at him.
He's really active and super friendly, crawling all around me and messing up my hair. He really seems to like my face, he likes to poke his head around my eyes and lips. He's the first BP I've met that totally stretches out on his own without hesitation and doesn't try to curl up at all. He kind of defies his name, I suppose. He explored about every inch of his reptarium, he really likes the Habba Tree I have in there. He kept crawling all over it and he slept behind it last night.
I tried my best to measure him last night with a string, and I got 3 feet, 4 inches. He's a big boy, bigger than I thought he would be. But that's exactly what I wanted.
Thank you to everyone who kept me from making a mistake and taking a risk with that guy from England. Now that I have Spoon, I know I would choose him over an albino any day. I love him so much that I actually cried this morning. I've waited 4 years to finally get my BP, and I got the perfect one.
I promise I'll post pics sometime today, as soon as I figure out how to work my roommate's digital camera.
