With my pinstripe breeding projects, it can vary quite a bit. I think there may be a one in ten chance or so of getting one full pinner. The rest will likely have 50% or more. That's been my experience breeding a full pinstripe to non-pinner harlies. I have not bred to a solid/patternless, so it's conceivable that you'll see less pinning. I haven't played with the genetics of phantom pinstripes, but that could be a result as well.

I've never dealt with the pinstripe trait as much as i have lately.I hope to hatch some interesting geckos.Never bred out a "phantom pinstripe" still not 100% sure i know what it is exactly,but i'll post hatchilings once they arrive.thanks for your input.

My understanding of "phantom pinstripe" is the pinning (extended scales) are present all along the dorsal, but their color is the same as the base color instead of a contrasting color.

I'll be quite curious what happens with this pairing.

so would this baby qualify as a reverse pinstripe ?



she has amazing structure ,but i wasn't aware that that's actually called phantom pinstripes, i've always called that great structure .Thanks for the heads up Laura

ok. im waiting to figure out if she's a female if she hasn't sold and she hits 15 grams and no pores , i'll end up keeping her and breeding her to the male that her mom is being bred too
