Enclosure with lid down

As requested, the two panels in the front have removable plexiglass used to increase heat on cooler days.

Why is the possible sun amount so small?

Good Question

The lid is only closed at night to keep the critters out.

I agree on the night time aspects of safety, but in my opinion, the top should allow more sunlight in and there seems to be too much wood blocking the sun. Just my opinion. The build quality looks very good. What type of tortoises are you keeping in there?

Steve, Very very nice specimens. I have 1.3 Russians, 0.0.2 California Desert Torts, 1.1 Pancakes, 0.0.4 Leopards, 1.1 Indian Stars. How big are your IS's & SL's? So do you keep the top open during the day and close the top at night? The build quality looks very good. Do you know of a source for additional SL's?

Thank you, the Indians are about 2.5" to3", and the Sri Lankans are 4", yes I keep the lid open during the day and locked at night.

Garden state tortoise is an excellent guy to deal with, I just purchased an incredibly yellow one from him, he advertises on fauna.

Upscale is a good source for Sri Lankans, she has been working with them for years, she has 2010, and 2011 specimens available. She advertises on another popular web site.
