abbreviations

need help with abbreviations. is there a book that covers them? Lots of stuff I don't understand; Possible, Proven, Hold Back, lots of red-tailed boas with the same latin names but different monikers, Columbian, Guyana, Jungle etcetera.
Thanks,
Nick

there were some info and a few books recomended to you in this other thread you had started:
http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/foru...d.php?t=330981

there is also some good info here that goes over different boas and helps explain sub-species vs locality, etc
http://www.riobravoreptiles.com/intro_boas.htm

here is a list of different morphs (the majority being in the BCis); morphs being visually different varieties of existing species/subspecies/localities:
http://www.classreptilia.com/boa_morphs.htm

and a nice little pic someone had made on another forum to help give visual clues for the different species and sub-species of Boa Constrictor.

hope that helps
