New to forum and Ball Pythons

Hi everyone,
My name is Nima, I'm a new guy on this forum hoping to learn from all the experienced keepers here. I have a large collection of GTPs and finally decided to get a few BPs. I always liked Bumblebees and Super Black Pastels, which influenced my picks. I purchased a male Silver Streak, a female Black Pewter, and a female Bumblebee, all '12 unrelated. I will post some pics when they arrive. I would like to hear from you guys if I made a good choice, specially if you have experience breeding these morphs. Also would like to hear advice on setup such as tub size, substrate, temps and humidity. I'm sure I will be on here with a lot more questions to come so thanks in advance and Happy Holidays.

first off, welcome. As for your choices, they are good but it is more of a what you like thing. If they are hatchlings you will start them in smaller (18 quart) tubs. If they have a couple hundred grams on them you can put them in 35 quart tubs with a hide. Some snakes do better in smaller tubs where I have found some that are not good eaters thrive when in a larger tub with hide. Substrate is your choice again. Sanichips, aspen, cocobark, news paper, papertowels......find what works for you. I keep my hot spot between 88-90 but depending on your ambient, you may adjust a degree or two. A good size water bowl may provide enough humidity, when needed (or in shed) I mist.

Yeah, I really like these morphs and the possibility of what they can produce. Theya are all around 100-200 grams. So in the smaller tubs I am going to use flexwatt on the heated side. Should I put the hide over the heated side and the water bowl on the cool side? I have both Aspen and soft coco husk, which I used for high humidity GTPs as the humidity levels in my area are very low, which do you think I should try first? Thanks!

the aspen you will probably have to mist to keep it up. Try both and see what you like.

on a side note......sorry that out of 68 views only two people have welcomed you. There are only about 40-50 people on here that are actually educated enough to use a keyboard! Most feel they can read and not contribute.
