I have never heard that they are endangered. In fact I have often seen them for sale or trade at herp shows. Of course this does not necessarily mean thet are not endangered or threatened. You can check on the
CITES web site as I just did. If I understood it correctly then all Phelsuma species are listed as Appendix II which: "includes species not necessarily threatened with extinction, but in which trade must be controlled in order to avoid utilization incompatible with their survival" (from CITES site). listed.
