I'm not really a cat person ... well, not since my old Sundance passed at 16 ... but he thought he was a dog, having been raised with mine; walked on a leash, loved car rides, loved playing "fetch" with balls of aluminum foil & actually did his biz in a second bathroom toilet reserved for him (and likely mortified guests, had they known, lol)

That cat deserves a freakin' award by the Mayor of the city! That little boy will be fine physically, but he really had some deep, ugly bites. Hope he's not traumatized psychologically.

Sorry, dog lovers (I have dogs too, no cats) I would hope the owners will be held responsible.

According to the news, the dog was going to be put down by the Animal Humane, or Animal Shelter. Said it was an aggressive dog that couldn't be trusted. I agree with this! That dog just decided to come out of it's yard, wander around and then attack an innocent little boy out of NOWHERE! Screw that! That dog wouldn't have made it out of my driveway.

I thought it was kind of funny that the cat made sure the dog left the property as well. After she got the dog off her human, she ran after it making sure it left. That is AWESOME!

Apparently the little boy is autistic (according to another news report), and his companion is the cat. The family had the cat before the little boy was born, and the cat just took to the boy when he was a newborn.

That cat is amazing. What a loving protective feline.

The first story I read said that the cat chased the dog off then came back to the boy and mom, then the dog comes back and tried to attack the mom as well but she was okay.
