Fire belly newt setup
Hey guys!
I would really just love some feedback on whether this is a good enough setup for my fire bellies. I have three in a ten gallon.
I got them from a pet store who had them completely submerged in a fish tank with no plants or dock to come out of the water on. I immediately bought all of the ones they had and brought them home to safety. As soon as I put them in my tank they immediately climbed on to land and haven't left it since.
But unfortunately it's been almost two weeks and they have only eaten once each. I used to have the water level at about three inches.
As soon as I raised the water level, they began eating more but they still won't transition to aquatic.
I have tried feeding EVERYTHING!! Chopped earthworms, frozen/thawed bloodworms, brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, silk worms, crickets, feeder fish, and also even tried newt pellets and dried shrimp.
Bloodworms, earthworms, silkworms and crickets are the only ones I've had luck with so far but they just eat one piece then turn their heads.
Also, one more thing, as you can see in the picture the clas seems to be getting dirty, I haven't cleaned it thoroughly because I do not want to use any chemicals/cleaners, what do you guys use to clean the glass?!?
Any suggestions ?
