I don't remember them being any more jumpy than other baby snakes. At that size they are all a little flighty mainly due to the fact that they are preyed upon by many animals in the wild that normally wouldn't pose a threat at a larger size. They'll calm down with a little handling every couple of days in no time. As a rule, it is not recommended to handle any snake after feeding for at least 3 days.
