aurics do regenerate their tails... when they do it as babies the tails look black as they grow the tails look normal and by adult hood you cant even tell.... the only way to tell if your adult auric has a regenerated tail is to look under it. if it has a pattern/motling then its the original tail, if it is sold white, cream or grey... a solid colored underside of the tail then it is a regen.... they do not grow back funky at all. it basically looks the same as the original

laura maybe a tad and possibly a bit more rounded at the tip but not even much to notice... and greg yes crestie do not regenerate their tails.

i have one auric with a regen, i think its clutchmate nipped it off.... but i have seen allot of regereated auric tails both juvis to adults from a well VERY well known breeder... i wont name names but it seemed this breeder had more regens than normal tailed ones. which made me think if it would be (in his case) husbandry related.... this was at daytona you would think this breeder would have broought all his best but if those were his best... then makes me wonder even more.... husbandry?

That would be my guess as well. Baby aurics are known to be bad tail biters and if you keep a bunch of babies together, well, you have trouble. (IMO crowding babies = bad husbandry).

i keep hatchlings together when they hatch... so far this has worked fine with that one exception however i give them plenty of room and allot of hides and fake plants. ya know i never found the tail so i am assuming the other one ate it LOL
