Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Shows & Events Since these are such a big part of our business, it is appropriate that we discuss them from a business perspective. |

We'll be there Tim. We had a great time at the first one, too.
Hope it will be even more successful this year.

TV Spots...updates...
I had another TV Station call me today and set-up an interview for their Morning program called "Firstcast" which talks about weekend events! This makes 5 TV spots scheduled! The American Satesman paper ran its first ad today and another tomorrow. The marquis Billboard in Downtown Austin will be posting the Expo tomorrow and Saturday. The website generating the most hits for the Expo is a TV & Radio Station in San Antonio. I expect at least a thousand people this year.
Looking forward to a busy weekend.

My first reptile show
I'm a lurker here, but am learning a lot from you experts!
I was there on Saturday, and it was packed! Took the hubby and the kids, and picked up a cute little female leopard gecko for my son. They were enthralled with the multi-hued snakes, and loved that they were able to take a picture while holding the beautiful albino burmese python. Even the hubby, who isn't so much into the "pets" thing, really loved the diversity of colorations everyone was displaying. I picked up a great all-purpose used care book to go with the gecko (who is named Sadie, btw) and some fine literature from various tables. I was able to point out the venomous snakes my kids are most likely to see in the greenbelt behind the house. The informational tables were great, talked quite a bit with the gentleman from the Texas Horned Lizard Conservation Society (is that right??).
All in all, a very fun time for the family, and something that was inside in the AC!
Thanks so much for the experience. Oh, and I was told by multiple vendors that Tim Cole is the man to know in this part of Texas if I really wanted to get into reptiles!

Better than I had hoped!
We had around 1500 people attend the show this weekend!
What even surprised me more were the number of families that attended. I have been to a lot of shows and I have never seen this many families present. Must have been the AC!
Some of the vendors commented on the number of persons that bought their first snake or lizard at the show. The educational displays were well received by the public and even appreciated.
It did get a little crazy when Keith with Chameleon Counters had his Death Head Cockroach eating contest! Which was one by Fauna's own Greg Holland!
We will do it again next year.
