Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

What do you guys use for a basking platform?
I am trying to get ideas for Tequilas tank, right now she has a kind of ramp, but she is starting to have trouble with it. She slides alot, probably because it has shelf liner on it. I need some better ideas, because I am stumped. Could I get some help, please? Pics would be great.

I use a relatively flat, smooth piece of river rock for my beardies.

I am an enthusiastic user of the Grip-It type plastic drawer and shelf liner.
It is soft and cushy but tacky so it provides great traction. It is not solid, more perforated like a screen and comes in different colors. I buy it at dollar discount stores by the roll. My favorite use is as screening for shy animals. I affix it to the outside of the tank in hiding areas. It can be adhered well with masking tape, aquarium silicone or my favorite Jone's Tones clear glue. It cuts to fit with regular scissors.
Because it is so inexpensive I don't balk at throwing it out. It can be washed and freshend nicely in a sink of dishwater.
In the picture it shows the liner being used to drape the open end of a platform. I am using it here as screening. But it shows you what the stuff looks like.

I use mesquite branches, they are free and they are pretty attractive. I also use rocks.

I use paver blocks/bricks. In larger cages, I just stack them. They hold heat really well, and are so heavy even the mightiest of my dragons can't get them to budge. 43 cents at Home Depot.

Tile
I use a 12_inch_x_12_inch itallian ceramic tile aquired from LOWES.
The surface tempurature of the tile is between 105F and 110F. It is kept perfectly level on the floor of their cage about 16.5_inches from a 50 watt G.E. flood light bulb. The bulb is outside of the cage on top of a wire mesh lid to prevent my Dragons from getting burned. I also use a 2_foot ReptiSun 10.0 Linear Fluorescent UVB lamp as well.
