Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

this is my 2nd time breeding. the first time was with 2 high yellows, but they lived together so it just happened one day. now i keep every gecko seperatly. in the pic above i introduced the male into the female's enclosure. is this the right way to do it? and when breeding do i just leave them together for a week or so, or should breeding happen right away?

Those are 2 gorgeous Leos, I can understand why you can't wait for them to breed!
The female won't breed unless she is ovulating. Once she is ovulating, you can introduce the male to her enclosure and breeding should take place rather quickly. I would leave him in with her for a couple days when you see them breeding, just to make sure they did the dead. Then take him out. If they mated successfully, you should see eggs forming in the female a few weeks later. If not, then I would put the male back in with the female again for another try. Keep this up until you have eggs!

I agree with Jeanne, I would be egar to see them babies too.
Give the female some time. Sometimes you just have to catch them in the right mood.

whooo hooo. i guess you can figured out what happened at 12.20 a.m. tonight. the female finally calmed down and gave up her virginity. lol. i put the male in her tank and once he walked out of my hand he eyed her down. he shook his tail and went in for the kill. i was kind of worried cause he had her tail in a bite for a good 2 mins without moving. then for about 15mins he humped every part of her body except where he was supposed to, but got the hang of it after a while. after everything he licked his hemipenis.
QUESTIONS: Should i re-introduce him over the next 2-3 days to make sure breeding was successful? How many weeks can i expect eggs?
Thanks for everyones help and im so sorry i couldn't get pics. i had the chance but you get so caught up in the moment, it's like you don't want to miss a second.

Our plan this year with first time breeders was to pair the geckos up every other week until we found the female gravid. We keep the males in for about a week and then out for a week. In your situation you might want to keep an eye on the female and do short sessions until she calms down. Later if you feel comfortable leaving the male in overnight, or for a few days, go for it.
If all is well with the breeding, you can expect eggs in 2-4 (2.5-3 seems to be the average for us) weeks depending on the female. Also, females can retain the males sperm and use it to fertilize multiple clutches of eggs, sometimes even for a whole season. That's not always the case though. Maybe every 2-3 months, inbetween laying, you can pair them up again just to be safe. It can't hurt.
Hope this helps a little.
