On June 10 I had a terrible temperature controller accident with one of my racks which exposed 39 of my juvenile geckos to extreme high temperatures. Eleven geckos died, and 15 others were affected, which caused their parathyroid glands to become over stimulated. This leached the calcium out of their blood and bones resulting in severe Metabolic Bone Disease (MBD).
With God's help and the support and encouragement of the leopard gecko community, I was able to overcome the devastation and rehabilitate the remaining victims with mega-doses of liquid calcium and dropper-feeding. They all have varying degrees of limb deformities, possibly permanent, but are now eating well, growing and thriving, and they need loving homes!
I have only 3 of these little ones left for adoption. I cannot guarantee their health or life spans, and they will most likely need to be on daily calcium powder with Vitamin D indefinitely. These geckos are
pets only, as breeding them
could potentially cause very serious health issues.
If you are interested in giving one of these little girls a good home, I am offering a $10.00 discount on UPS Next Day Air shipping for only $36.00. Local pick-ups or deliveries in the San Francisco Bay Area would be great!
