Ah, OK. I wasn't sure if they had color phases or if they are all usually pretty similar. Never owned one of those little things before. I'm used to something a bit more man sized.

Cool color though if one came out like that.

Yes, there are quite a few color phases including anerythristic. They do "come out" darker . These are Lamar phase babies. If you would like to see a wide variety of pictures I would recommend http://www.rainbowboas.com/brazilian.htm.

This is Bryan Hummel’s site.

Rainbows-R-US has a lot of nice pictures as well and shows a lot of the different phases.

Thanks for the links. Them Hypos are pretty nice. The anerys are way cool looking. Some of the het anery on the last link have so much red, it's hard to believe they are destined for a mating that will take it all away.

Thanks again!

He will be moving to a 20 long tank this weekend, when I come back from out of town, and I have earmarked a 45 gal for him in a year or two. I'm amazed he's still happy with me despite his living quarters. Also, I think I had mentioned in a previous post his tank, and no one screamed at me then. Luckily I've only had him a few months, so I'm very glad to getting some good care info now. This is one resilient little guy! Course this whole situation may explain his lack of expected nippiness, he's just so happy to get to stretch when I take him out. I'm guessing he'll be a totally diff animal in his new digs. And yes, I'm proud to be a contrib member of fauna for however long I keep herps!

Lisa, you can also use a Sterilite, Rubbermaid or Iris box outside of a rack. It’s not hard to set up and much more efficient than a tank. If your concerns also include displaying then go with plastic cages. I would urge you to throw out your plans for a tank. For instance, you are gone out of town and who is going to mist your BRB for you?

Actually I was out of town for only a day, so he was fine. I wet his cypress down pretty good before I left, and I came back to find a new shed in there, which I expected. I will give some serious thought to the plastic cage idea, what size would be good for him as an adult? He's still going to go into a 20 long tonight, cuz, well, I dont as yet own any plastic cages, and I think we're both anxious to get him out of that 5.5. I'm thinking of making that plastic a DIY project as well, along with the rack system I will need come spring for the leos. Dennis, I'm guessing my guy would be closer to a yearling then? I thought he was this year's crop, but maybe he's an '06? He's been eating 2 mouse fuzzies a week, since I thought he was much younger, but I will move him up to hoppers or rat pinks at next feeding.
