Hello!
Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.
Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....
Please note that the information requested during registration will be used to determine your legitimacy as a participant of this site. As such, any information you provide that is determined to be false, inaccurate, misleading, or highly suspicious will result in your registration being rejected. This is designed to try to discourage as much as possible those spammers and scammers that tend to plague sites of this nature, to the detriment of all the legitimate members trying to enjoy the features this site provides for them.
Of particular importance is the REQUIREMENT that you provide your REAL full name upon registering. Sorry, but this is not like other sites where anonymity is more the rule.
Also your TRUE location is important. If the location you enter in your profile field does not match the location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected. As such, I strongly urge registrants to avoid using a VPN service to register, as they are often used by spammers and scammers, and as such will be blocked when discovered when auditing new registrations.
Sorry about all these hoops to jump through, but I am quite serious about blocking spammers and scammers at the gate on this site and am doing the very best that I can to that effect. Trust me, I would rather be doing more interesting things with my time, and wouldn't be making this effort if I didn't think it was worthwhile.

Favorite reptile show?
Who's your favorite, A) Steve Irwin B) Jeff Corwin C) Danny Oshea or D) other (explain)
My favorite would have to be Jeff Corwin. I think its the way he approaches his "job". Not only does he seem to know what he's talking about, but he has fun doing it. This is my .02 cents, whats yours?

I like Austin Stevens, even when he gets bit by a snake, he goes back to shoot it, not with a gun, but with a camera...that takes balls.

Simpsons did it...
There is a thread already started along these same lines. I can't seem to find it at the moment though.
I'll date myself by giving my answer, Marlin Perkins, the originator.

My favorite is Steve Irwin. He has given everything he has for conservation. He wants the world to know that herps are not the monsters that people think they are. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't have any of the pets I have today. (5.3 ball pythons. 5 fire belly toads, and 1 Chinese water dragon, with plans on getting more soon) He really loves his job, and I like that he gets everyone around him involved.
The Crat brothers were my favorites growing up, I still watch them.
Jeff Corwin, well I have nothing good to say about him, except that he really loves herps. I watch his show, it reminds me a little of the Crat brothers, everywhere Jeff seems to go and what he's showing I've already seen on their show.

I have met Mark O'Shea. My wife and I spent about 20 minutes alone with him just talking and BSing. He was a pretty good guy, but I have never seen his show.
From what I have heard Steve Irwin is a different person when the cameras are off. I know someone that has had Steve over at his place twice, once the cameras were turned off, Steve becomes a jerk. I have seen his show and not really impressed, though he is funny to listen too.
Jeff Corwin, I have seen his show also. Has a lot of knowledge as he does travel around the world looking for animals, it would be fun to do that.
What TV we do watch is all at other people's homes, so we do not see much at all. I have only seen a handful of shows these guys have done and I cannot form a great opinion on them.

Austin Stevens is cool, he just seems more interested in taking pictures then he is in actually looking at the animals.

Well he knows alot about reptiles, and it seems that he just cant look at them any more. From what I understand, he has been doing this for a while, and he pretty much knows what they are all about. After watching some of his shows, I actually take a camera with me any where I go, just for those unexpected herps. Remember, a picture is worth a thousand words, and I think Austin Stevens really believes in that.
