What kind is this???

Okay so i just picked this guy up and there is no way hes a normal ball python! lol


help me???

sorry heres a pic, you cant really see it but he is almost a tan color (the patterns)

pic of the axanthic is terrible too, way way way too much flash. but yea from that pic yours still looks normal to me. as pricey as they are, i seriously doubt someone would sell you an axanthic on accident. they look grey and black as babies

We all want to think we snagged the next awesome morph dirt cheap at the pet store, but it's highly doubtful by the time those imports get in that it's anything but a normal. If bought from a show or private breeder, even less chance. There's no cookie cutter look for normal, like us they come in all patterns and shades.

He's handsome though, best of luck!

I agree that he looks normal as well. But a very nice normal, so congrats! Normals can range in many shades from tan to gold to brown in the saddles, with varying degrees of blushing (or none at all) in the black. With him being that light of a normal though, you might consider pairing him up with a light-colored female morph at some point--if he passed along his lighter coloring to his offspring, he could lighten/clean up the morph.
