Talking April Raleigh Show

Anyone here coming to the spring show? I have mixed feelings about it! It's kind of close to tax time and maybe it's too early for young reptiles?
I checked, no gun show and supposedly no dog show.
WAHOOO!!!!
We may be able to find places to park!!!!

I thought the Spring Raleigh show was in May... No gun show? Heck that's the major reason I liked doing that show!

Yeah Rich,
You were always at the gun show when I went by your table!
Poor Connie was holding down the fort!
Tony has it scheduled for April 30, May 1. Maybe he's trying to avoid the heat and cramped parking.I was surprised it was so early this year. The fall show last year was a nightmare!
If it just wasn't so close to paying Uncle Sam for my privilege to live in the US!

I'm just surprised to hear the date change. The Tampa show has been moved to April 9th and 10th from the previous March date, so I'm just surprised that the Raleigh show was moved close (time wise) to the Tampa show.

I guess not that it makes much difference to me, since I am sold out of just about everything that would likely sell at either show. But heck, in year's prior I used to try to make sure I had enough animals to do the Spring Raleigh show so I could go to that gun show. I guess that's over with now.....

I have a feeling that a lot of vendors won't have much ready to sell yet. I still can't make up my mind whether to go or not. It's a long drive for me, get a hotel room, and then to find out there's not much I want. Plus the fact it is so close to the Florida show. Most of the vendors will probably sell their "good" stuff there.
I just may have to pass this one!

I was thinking there may not be much if what Id want too, Im really only working with leos and veileds now so I doubt many leos are ready for sale now and I haev a couple hundred veiled eggs so no need to buy more of them.

I may just skip it, Ive never been to a reptile show so thats really the only reason I wanted to go.

Wendy,
Every show I have been to has had lots of leos and beardies. I am uromastyx hunting and there has been very few at the show. I like to buy the VIP tickets and I can be out of there before the hour we get to go in early is up! Of course, I usually don't have much money to spend. All I bought at the fall show last year was crickets!

I'm actually setting up a table this year. I'll be working for Tony at Tampa, but my little veileds wil be needing homes then( if I have any left by then).

I've only got a few left - 7 or 8 of them, but I'm going to be selling screen cages. So many people buy chameleons and other arboreal animals, but so few people sell
adequate sized cages. After I figured out how to make them, I decided they'd be great to
sell at the shows. I'm pretty sur enobody else there sells large screen cages - twin oaks just
sells smaller ones. I wouldn't want to step on their toes, so I'm just selling big screen
cages.

Only problem is that they take a bit of work to make - I hope I can make enough.
