Fake Katrina victims...

I just dropped off a load of personal hygiene stuff at a church that is helping hurricane evacuees. While I was there a lady who was all fixed up; make up, nice earrings, nice clean clothes started asking the people at the church if anyone had donated vouchers for stores or gas stations...what a crock...there was NO WAY THIS LADY EVACUATED FROM A HURRICANE. I had to evacuate my home several years ago because of hurricane Floyd. I had 2 days to pack what I could and get out and I can tell you I was in rough shape. I stayed at a friend's place but it never occured to me to bring my NICE clothes (only the comfortable stuff). I am so pissed that some people see this as an opportunity to get something for nothing...KARMA IS A BITCH...I hope it comes back to these folks!

We had a couple of people here knocking on people's doors during traffic and asking for donations. They were posing as Katrina victims, but they got jailed for it.

What i have to say about this will blow some of your minds. I know of a person who works for the red cross. What they do will disgust some of you. A clothing store donated several thousand's in brand new clothes and underclothes. Well what half of the red cross staff did was sort through this and pick what they wanted and passed the "Crap" onto the survivors of the hurricane.

What makes me the most mad about this, is that all you hear about disaster relief is "Donate to the red cross, your donations will be used by the survivors" Well a bunch of people who make $30,000 + a year and that are located so far inland even a category 10 hurricane would not effect them are taking the stuff as if it was meant for them.

That's sad. Truly sad.

Maybe they should be stabbed too.

did ya all hear about these people who were issued the FEMA credit cards they were handing out to the storm victims (They had $2000 credit on them) . SOmeone use one of the cards to buy a Louis Vuitton purse and the other flew to New York and used the card towards a boob job .. nice huh..true stories.

I am just wondering how many of the people that got those cards were also major junkies as well.

Oh, well that fema again for you. They really just wing it anymore when they are needed it seems. instead of using the millions of dollars to rebuild or give housing to those now left homeless, just gave it all out to watch alot of it to be spent within a span of several days.
