males sexually mature...when???

what age/weight will males sexually mature at. i notice the bumps and pores so i know one of mine is a male. i dont know his age because i got him from a store.when can he mate with the ladies?? just curious.

Males can sexually mature as early as 3-4 months old, BUT most females would not accept such a small male. Try for a minumium weight of 45-50 g., also needs to be healthy and eating well,(some almost stop eating during breeding and it can stunt their growth) and he will have a better chance 'with the ladies'. LOL

thanks. i know hes not ready yet but i threw him on the digi and he was a whopping 14.9 grams. lol. my females are all pushing around 50 grams (not fullgrown) and the largest 64.9 grams (about 2 years old). thanks. here he is

I feel that males are sexually mature as in being able to be bred at 8-10 months of they are at an optimal weight of at least 50 grams for males.

With females I go for 12+ months and 50 grams but since males tend to be larger, I prefer for the males to be 65 grams before breeding and 8+ months.

Also if your male is of size and weight to breed, keep a check on him once he is with the ladies, males tend to lose weight when breeding and will need to be fed well just as if they are breeding females and sometimes they need to be taken from teh ladies for a few weeks to regain optimal weight and rest.

Id say at 14.9 he is 6-10 weeks old, so you have a while ahead of you!
